can we talk about how phum didn't tell peem what was going on with his dad not because he was afraid that peem wouldn't understand but it's literally the opposite. because he knew that peem would understand. because he knew how selfless peem is when it comes to the people he loves.

and that probably terrifies him. to put burden on someone and knowing that they will take it no matter what. so his reason for not telling peem is equally just as selfless. because he doesn't want to ruin peem's day. because he's probably so used to dealing with his burdens on his own that he's afraid to share it with someone else. especially with someone like peem who means so much to him.

because what if it becomes too much for peem. what if one day, it's too heavy for peem. if phum's own parents were able to take him out of their lives at one point, who to say that peem wouldn't either. and i know that sounds ridiculous to us because we can SEE how much phum means to peem. but wounds don't heal over night. traumas don't magically get resolved. and i appreciate that they really take us on this journey of phum healing. and how notably realistic the journey has been thus far
