Vent Post I Guess - Tumblr Posts
Vent and large blocks of text below. Be warned.
When you finally realize what the hell your attraction identity is but its an extraordinarily niche and confusing microlabel that combines two other obscure-ish and confusing labels and only has like 12 search results on Google and has a flag that's either a washed out gradient pan flag or the omni flag with some more blue.
Oh, but that's not all. No no no, there's more. On top of that, I'm also apparently aromantic and ace (I'm also a very funky kind of ace), which is confusing enough to explain to people, and if I DO tell someone and they understand what aroaceness is, if I express any sort of attraction (and henceforth act outside of the aroace bianary), I'll have to explain the complete and utter trainreck that is the identity described above this huge block of text. My attraction is 5d chess with interdimensional time travel and I do not currently possess the vocabulary to express how I feel about this. What the fuck.
...not to mention I recently found out about the existence of omni from one of my omni friends and my dumbass brain makes me feel like I'm "stealing" it if I decide to use it even though it describes me nearly perfectly.
...and also I've already told most of my friends that I'm lesbian so if I do go "hey turns out Im something else" it's gonna be reeaal confusing to explain this absolute tomfuckery.

When someone manages to unintentionally press your buttons while you're still feeling kinda emotionally tender because something during class reminded you of a thing and now you feel angry, guilty and godawful in general because of it
I saw a very blunt Instagram comment today that told a writer, "AI is going to steal your job soon. You may want to choose something else." It was so nonchalant and casual, like what was just said wasn't heartbreaking to hear.
Can we writers just make a pact just to... not quit? Can we not give in so easily? Can we actually fight to keep our professions and continue to share our own original work? I will never expect writing to be my main source of income, but that does not mean I'm so willing to give it up for the sake of some robot.
This is what makes me hate AI so much. Out of every single possible thing you could do with a learning machine, these greedy, soulless cunts chose to use it to fake humanity. To let those with no creativity or artistic skill outcompete real passionate art.
Instead of using it to help anyone, all it became was the narcissist's skip button, to let them feel good at anything and to cut real human talent out of the picture.
AI will never create any true art by any means. That's the core design flaw of it. Art comes from humanity, from the tiny quirks of our brains and the depths of our subconscious, and AI has nothing. All it can create are cold, soulless imitations, because it is fundamentally incapable of experiencing a flawed perspective. It sees cold numbers, and it treats them as such.
Please, for the love of god, someone take a hammer to OpenAI's server rooms and put a hard stop to the industry leader. Make it more expensive to hurt the artists than it is to treat people with dignity. Make them see the world through our lens by force, because it's clear that nobody has shown these creatures what it is to be human
