Let them fall in love with you (or your character) for your looks. Let them fall in love with you for your personality. Let them fall in love with you for your ability to eat a whole pizza in one sitting.

Silently. Ardently. Platonically. Romantically. Unrequited. Enthusiastically Requited. Tragically. Happily Ever After.

YOU’RE writing the story, so let them fall in love with you (or your character. You get what I mean)

And if someone says you’re doing it wrong, that character A wouldn’t fall in love with you for x, y or z reasons, kindly, respectfully, ignore them.
