O CAPTAIN! MY CAPTAIN! = WHITMAN
In honor of "Uncle" Walt Whitman's birthday, we just published a video homage to him. He was one of the most beloved writers of the 19th century...and didn't really try to hide the fact he loved men.
Whitman was also one of the first "celebrities" to have their photos not only taken but collected by fans worldwide. Most of these photos were taken when he was over 50. His last photoshoots took place not long before his passing at 72.
WALT WHITMAN May 31, 1819 – March 26, 1892

While making a montage about the work of Lon Of New York, I decided to make not one but two versions: One for YouTube (MPAA would likely consider it PG-13) and one for Substack (MPAA would likely consider it NC-17).
And here's the "PG-13" version on YouTube:
Just finished a montage I've been researching for awhile. About the little-remembered founder and owner of Guild Press, one of the first and most successful gay-owned publishers:
H. LYNN WOMACK, PH.D. = THE GAY LARRY FLYNT?
Larry Flynt may have gotten the star treatment, but Professor Womack's story is just as colorful. And that's the parts we know.
Available only on Substack...thanks! Clint
