Summary: Somebody makes a comment about Jeff’s jail time again, and Jeff begins to question if he’s a good person. Pre-relationship.

A/N: Pretty sure this is gender neutral reader? Anyway, this is my first vlog squad fic (imagine? Idk), but I’ve written for 13 Reasons Why and Riverdale for a long time, this is a side blog to my main account. So yeah, send in requests, and I’ll write ‘em!!

“At least I’ve never been to prison!” Dom blurted out with a snigger. The Vlog Squad had been teasing him again about his sexcapades and making out he was a terrible person, so he had hit back, but at Jeff.

Jeff tensed up across from you and took a deep breath. He really wished that people would stop talking about his brief stints in jail and his slightly more questionable behaviour. It wasn’t like he killed someone, and he hadn’t been part of that life for the best part of a decade now.

You frowned slightly to yourself, why did everyone find it so funny that Jeff had been in jail? It had been a long time ago and had likely traumatised the quiet man. How your friends couldn’t tell that Jeff felt uncomfortable over the topic, you didn’t know.

Over the evening the members of the Vlog Squad began to disperse, going back to their own lives after contributing to David’s vlog footage and obtaining their own, until it was just David, Natalie, Jeff and you. David was taking a nap on the couch, and Natalie was in her room.

Ghost (Part 1)

The moment you step foot outside of the airport the sun was beaming down your face.  A smile appears on your face; you are finally back home in, Los Angeles.  All the honking and traffic snap you out of your train of thoughts; it was the two things that you did not miss while being away.  There were a lot of cars not to your surprise as you are scanning behind your black Ray-Ban sunglasses for your mother.  

"Y/N."

"Y/N, OVER HERE!"

Your eyes found your mother who is waving like a crazy person to catch your attention.  A laugh escapes your lips as you dragged your two heavy luggage towards your mother black BMW X5.  "Hi, Mother dearest," you said with a big smile, you were happy to see your mom after all three months has passed since you last saw her.  Your mother walked over to the back of the car to helped you put your luggage into the trunk.  "It's nice to have you back brat," she said as she gave you a tight hug and made you laugh.  "I bet Dad and Tommy are driving you crazy." She nodded her head and laugh, "you have no idea, and I'm sick of being in the middle of your father and your brother argument."

Both of you laugh as you enter the car and your mother started to drive.  "What can they possibly be arguing about now? The two of them doesn't even live in the same house anymore." You shook your head at the thought of what reasons can you father and little brother be arguing than again those two never see eye to eye.  "The usual you know about school and how he can't make money playing games to post on youtube forever." You rolled your eyes, "oh god, Dad needs to let Tommy live his own life, and he is actually making good money with his games."

"I know, I tell your Dad that all the time but you know how he is," you nod knowing how you Dad always wanted things to go a specific way.  "Dad needs to learn to be less annoying.  As long as Tommy and I are making money and bills are pay than let us live." You said as it reminded you of how your dad always said he wish you went to school for education instead of human service. Even though you made a career for yourself as a caseworker, he wanted you to be a teacher, but obviously, it was not something you wanted for yourself.

"What are you going to do now?"

You let out a sigh now that you are back home you need to find a job since you quit your last one to go on your adventure. "Start applies for jobs, I guess," you shrugged since you weren't too sure if you want to go back to that career path.  Being away from home changed the way you saw things.  "Y/N, what do you mean you guess? You need to make money," your mother said with a stern tone.  "Gosh, mom I know that, don't worried I have a good amount in my saving to keep me afloat for a couple more months." The one thing that you did listen to your dad about is saving as much as you can which is why you were able to be gone for three months.  The one thing you are better than your brother at is being independent.

"Home sweet home," a smile made its way to your face when your eyes landed on your apartment.  The plus side to living in that apartment is your parents owe it, so they were kind about the price.  "I'll see you and dad later, mom," you said then gave her a wink. "I better get a gift from you, Y/N, you were gone for three months."  That made you burst out laughing, "Don't worry, I got you something from each country." You gave her a thumb up; you made sure to grab your family and friends something from each country in SouthEast Asia that you were able to step foot in.

The moment you settle in you stare up at the ceiling and thought about what you are going to do when you see him again.  It’s not like you can hide from him forever, yes Los Angeles is a big city, but at the same time, it was small as well.  Not to mention your little brother Tommy ran in the same crowd because of Youtube.  And not just that but Natalie is also one of your close friends. The two of you met back in college, you were a couple of years older than her but the both of you hit it off in Animal science class; that you decided to take as a free elected because of how easy everyone said it was.

You grabbed your phone and decided to text your friends including Natalie.  You did tell her that you would text her the moment you landed and settled in your apartment.

‘Hey, Bitch I’m back from Asia!’

It didn’t take long for Natalie to text you back which surprises you since the time is two in the Afternoon.  Usually, she was busy doing errands for him than again there is no such thing about regular time with a job like that.

‘What the fuck Bitch you told you would be back next week not today.’ You laugh as you read her text, the two of you friendship is like that with swearing at one another.

Y/N: I lied because I knew you would try to pick me up from the airport.

Natalie: No shit, I haven’t seen your ass in three months.  

Just as you are about to reply she decided to call you on facetime, "Oh my god why didn't you tell me you, bitch? I would have taken time off to pick your ass up because I FUCKING MISS YOU." Natalie shouted the last part which made you laugh.  You shook your head, "because I didn't want you to take the day off of work because god knows your boss needs you all the time." You smile because you know how important she is to him.  Natalie rolled her eyes, "David would have given me the day off," she pouted because she did miss you.  The sound of his name made you feel weird, "Shoot his ass would have come with me to pick you up too.  David miss your ass too," she said with a smile, and luckily she didn't catch you pout at the sound of his name.  "That is why I didn't tell you because I did not want to bother his busy ass."

Natalie rolled her eyes, "big deal it would have taken only an hour." She said as you watch her walk around the house as you are in bed talking.  "DAVID, Y/N IS BACK HOME THAT BITCH LIED TO ME," Natalie shouted and before you can say anything she passed her phone to David.  The one person you did not want to see just yet.

"Y/N," he said surprise looking like a Deer caught in headlight while you felt yourself stop breathing for a second.  It didn't take you long to snap out of it as you remember Natalie is there and she knows nothing.  Putting on the best fake smile of your life, you waved and said, "What is up Dude." You did your best to sound like your usual self in front of Natalie.  A smile found a way to David's face, "Welcome back to America."

"THANKS!"

You watched as Natalie shook her head, "Can you believe this bitch lied to me?" She said to David, and he shook his head and laughed, "Y/N didn't want to see you Natalie get the hint, gosh." You watch as he did his best to act normal around Natalie, "Please she loves me."

You smiled at Natalie and nodded, "I did, but I figure I would give myself a week to adjust to the timezone before I saw you."

Natalie shook her head, "No bitch I'm going to see you today." She said as she turns to David, his eyes never leaving the facetime.  "David, can I take a few hours off to see, Y/N?"

"You can take the rest of the day off, Natalie," David said and an excited Natalie squeal.  "Hopefully I see you soon, Y/N," he said as you nodded, "sureeee thing dude!" It was a lied you did not want to see, David Dobrik at all.
