Thank you so much for this tumblr by the way! Its my go to place to find something to read after a hard day! I was wondering if you could recommend any good Veronica Mars fusion fics --- preferably with the VM characters in a sci-fi, fantasy or urban fantasy setting? I really would really like to see something that plays with the characters various jobs (Logan as a pilot, Weevil as a mechanic, V as a detective/lawyer/librarian etc.) if it exists.

It’s a good thing this fic is only 1,100 words because if it was any longer our cheeks would flippin’ crack from grinning so hard. Actually, we need 6,000 more words. Absolutely. We’ll risk it.

(chapters complete, not sure if the series is)Summary: While in Gotham City trailing a serial killer, Veronica Mars meets its mythical masked avenger.Notes: It’s really fun to see how Veronica’s smarts and snark in a whole different world - it’s a bit grittier b/c of the change of context but feels like the same character. 

Ahead of The Dark Times (brief AO3 unavailability), a selection of Veronica Mars recommendations from that other fic archive, because needs must. As it turns out, all my favorite stories are on AO3 (including those rescued from LJ by @allthevmff), so a little sparse...

Of Blizzards and Whiskey by steenbeans. 10k, Teen, complete. A delicious trope fest. They're fake dating for a stakeout, they're snowed in, and would you believe there's only one bed?

Both Planes Were Lost In the Crash by wowsugarpuss. 6k, Mature, complete. One of the LiveJournal-era fics I never got over. Logan disappears post-S1. Eventually, Veronica comes for him.

Another Voice in the Night by EllieBear75. 12k, Mature, complete. Don't you hate it when you call a 900 number and the voice is just a little too familiar?

I will mention Finite Erasure by Trixx, but I'm not linking it to make you go find it yourself after I warn you it's one of the darkest fics I've ever read and needs ALL the trigger warnings for violence and rape. It ends in hope, it just walks you through hell first.

And since I realized I had far fewer Veronica Mars fics bookmarked on FFN than I thought, I'm throwing in two random Dawson's Creek recs I didn't even remember bookmarking (apparently I went through a brief burst of early-2000s nostalgia at some point and binged these??) but now I'm a little tempted to re-read. The things you find when you log in to FFN for the first time in forever...
