A four-page flat color comic. This is the first page. It starts with the first thing Sollux sees after Aradia sings. Marsti, a thin rustblood with short hair and a white t shirt is looking at Sollux (and by extension the viewer) with concern. Next to her, Dave, a pale-skinned, light-haired human with cybernetic black and red eyes, is sitting in a chair with a guitar, and behind him is Aradia, a chubby rustblood with long fluffy hair. Both Aradia and Dave are looking with surprise somewhere to Sollux's right. Behind them, the ghostly figures of Bro Strider and Damara Megido are visible, slightly see-through and tinted with dark for Bro and light for Damara. They look ready to fight, as Damara keeps Bro away from Sollux. The two panels below are of Sollux, seated on the bed, at first looking back at the others with confusion, but then he turns to see the ghostly form of Mituna, who seems stunned as he sits next to Sollux and looks down at his own hands. As Sollux turns to see him, Mituna looks back up at Sollux.
Mituna looks down again, his arms crossed over himself as he says, "That... really fucking hurt." Sollux looks up to him with care and reaches out for him, responding, "It won't hurt anymore." Sollux reaches up with both arms, you can see the glowing white battery tattoo on his middle finger now, and he tries to hug Mituna, but his arms go right through. These panels are cropped such that we can't see most of their faces, but we can see a shift in Sollux's expression, his mouth slightly open in surprise and disappointment.
Sollux's face, seen from the side as tears finally spill over. Mituna, still knelt in place next to Sollux, slowly reaches his hand up and just places it on Sollux's chest. Around his hand there's a glow of static meant to visually represent the sensation of his touch.
On a blank black background, the forms of Mituna and Sollux are shown in a flat, textured, almost-silhouette but with some details added so you can see their hair, their hands, their poses. Mituna is shown in white and Sollux in gray. Additionally, Mituna is still a little bit see-through. Sollux sits with his upper half turned toward Mituna as Mituna holds his hand on Sollux's chest. Above them is written Mituna's dialogue: "Thanks for the out, man."

Your cooler dumbass older dancestor who you always looked up to and nearly died of agony when you lost him. He doesn’t look so much older than you now, kneeling next to you on the medical bed staring through his slightly translucent white tinted hands. He looks up from his hands to you and swallows thickly. “That… that really fucking hurt.” he whispers, like he’s not used to his voice anymore. “It won’t hurt anymore.” you promise and reach for him. You go to hug him and your arm slides clean through him. That’s the part that actually makes the tears start to fall, all of that and you can’t hug him. Pulling back Mituna carefully places a hand on your chest and you can just feel it, like static or pins and needles. He looks at you, glowing white eyes emotional and bites his lip for a moment before he speaks again. “Thanks for the out, man.” he manages.

Today we reached Chapter 23 of YWDMP in my stream series, and I've been so excited for it because of how it ends.

This moment is everything to me. I just had to illustrate it.
