Jungwon, like any normal person on Earth, didn’t like receiving “I need to tell you something” texts. They always made him worry that he had done something wrong even when he hadn’t. This time, he knew what he’d done wrong; he just didn’t know what Jiyeon had to say about it. Had it been Intak, Seeun or Jayoon, he would’ve known what was coming, and he knew he’d deserve it, no matter how hard he would deny it if they confronted him. He was especially worried because Jiyeon had sounded so dry over text, when usually every message was riddled with emojis and terms of endearment which Jungwon had wanted to gag over at first but quickly gotten used to.

So there he was, standing at the entrance of their school’s café after school, waiting for her. He kept checking the time and tapped his foot nervously, looking around for her arrival. He was so focused on finding her that he didn’t notice Kim Sunoo walking up to him until the boy called out his name.
