What I Mean Is He Left It At The Roughly Here Will Be This Color - Tumblr Posts

It's a lovely advice also when you plan to return to the hobby. I don't show off on tumblr too much, but I crochet quite a bit, I came up with some simple designs, can do plushies and what not. But When I picked it up, I failed at crocheting rectangle. It was supposed to be blanket for my teddy bear. It turned into messed up trapezoid that I tried to fix so it became weirder trapezoid that folded and wasn't even big enough to be whole plushie blanket. It barely covers legs. It still started, let me practice basic stitches and later I learned what I messed up and could grow with it.

But even if I didn't, even if it ended up as an only crocheted piece I would ever make, it would still be great becuase it was another experiment another little creation in this world. Another physical manifestation of emotions that creative mind and clumsy fingers released to the world. Another memory of this time of your life you'll return to, whenever you'll see it, and maybe this period will be nostalgic or maybe you'll look back and think "Hell yeah, I survived that shit" Maybe you'll be happy with where you are now. Maybe with where you were then. It doesn't matter. It's precious. And every unfinished project you may have is precious too

When you're speaking you don't always finish each sentence. Sometimes you'll stop in the middle and decide you don't have to say it or don't know how or know how but it just isn't the way. Why should things spoken by your hands abide to different rules?

Draw badly. Write nonsensically. Embroider messily. Burn what you bake and cook. Get paint everywhere. Read half a book. Lose your mind for a bit. Plant things. Have faith in the process. Abandon 70 wood-carving projects. Get a kit and do some of it and never return to it. Get comfortable with sucking and losing motivation. Continue to create with reckless abandon.

I feel like I forgot what I was talking about three times in this but I also had strong urge to share all of this so I hope it's legible I'm pretty sleep deprived at the moment though so my English may not English properly positive vibes btw in Polish history there is this guy Matejko he was an artist who lived in 19th century it was pretty rough period of time for Poland but it's not important his main focus was polish history and at some point he painted every ruler Poland had since the begining in 966 up until Polish-Lithuanian Commonwelth lst independece in 179 I think he got payed for it and he kinda half-assed it as much as you can half-ass oil painting what I mean is he left it at the “roughly here will be this color” with no further details which wsan't norm at the time nor was it his style because he was famous for his details and we still use his work to portray our kings and rulers even though there is aother set of fully finished paintings by some other guy they are used too of course but Matejko is “the guy” you'll most likely reference when thinking about these historical figures if his half-assed project could survive almost two centuries as big national thing then your half-assed unfinished project is good enough to whatever you want or don't want to do with it don't let your shame or sense of obligation stop you unless someone is paying you (or you promised really hard) you don't need to finish anything Look I got emotional again and my thoughts escaped me for the forth time have a nice day dear stranger who got to this part
