This is also my dog with doors.

He knows how to open closed doors, this is specifically why we began locking the front door, to prevent him from walking out and greeting the neighbors when he decided to socialize.

He knows how to open doors. He did it enough to be a pest and scare a neighbor before we found out that he did know how to open doors.

Will he open the door when he wants to go to another room? No. Of course not, he will stand in front of it and whine pitifully for someone to do so.

You might think then that it's a good idea to leave the door open, ever so slightly ajar. People have privacy this way but don't have to stand up to open the door. Perfection, isn't it? No. Of course not. He will not nudge the door with a paw or nose, he will not barrel through it as he so easily can, but instead will stand there looking sad at someone.

He is trapped, can't you see? Please come help him.
