NO NO LITERALLYYYY Chapter two of SDRA2 and DRDT specifically have hit me really hard :( Emma's my favorite fangan/dangan character and her whole story was just so incredibly sad Someone who is so used to pretending that she's fine and okay that it becomes her best defense mechanism And then Kokoro is the one person who is able to see through it but she doesn't REALLY understand Emma While she gets the face value idea that Emma is living through her talent she doesn't grasp how much it HURTS No matter what Emma said in that trial I truly believe that a part of her did care for Kokoro even with her mission In her last moments we see that the person she was the least truthful to...was herself she's gaslighting herself into fully believing that she's ready to die but she isn't in a few ways it kind of reminds me of Ace who had similar last words being completely scared of idea of dying Speaking of that trial Ace's whole life was full of so much misery If he escaped he'd go back to a job that he hates and is scared of If he doesn't...he has to face his biggest fear of all: death Arei was trying to change Trying to be a person that would make others smile; like Eden does but of course The world is cruel Arei most likely died finally believing that this “dog eat dog” world was really true I miss them AHHHH I'm so sorry for the long tags tw spoilers
