Why Can't I Get The Motivation To Paint - Tumblr Posts
I know that Big Art Pieces™ are what will actually Get You Places but can't I just do a thousand little sketches of birds and androgynous anime characters and call it a day? Just an army of scribbly bois
Do I answer all of these?...?
1. I technically have a few default drawing programs on my computer (ms paint) I don't use, but I use pretty much any other program my outdated computer can run lol
2. Left, tbh; I draw a lot in the right hand margins of my schoolwork so I have a lot of experience drawing people facing left.
3. I had a lot of ideas and hyperfixations surrounding birds when I was little, and a lot of that shows through in my art
4. Long hair. Hate it, but love a few characters with it
5. I have two seperate socials for my 'proper' art and my fanart and still like 90% of my art is thrown on the shelf or in my sketch portfolio
6. The colours of things I've seen or the paint strokes of music I'm listening to (it's hard to explain that one)
7. Woodworking. Massive respect
8. I had this idea where a cat in a small french village influences the local politics via butterfly effect shenanigans. That's still on hold- though I find myself thinking about it
9. No conventions! Just word salad, abbreviations, inconsistent camelcase vs underscoring
10. SCARVES SCARVES SCARVES
11. Vocaloid babeeeeee. Also reaction videos and speed runs of Zelda (usually music and videos at the same time
12. Eyes and mouth- fun and satisfying to place. Wings are my absolute favourite tho-
13. Maybe some past figure like Andy Warhol or Leonardo DaVinci? I like most of the people I admire-
14. Various types of birds for emotions or concepts. Ex. Crows represent the psyche to me
15. Basement
16. According to a lot of people irl, political commentary comics. I don't like doing them though, they were mostly vent artworks
17. Water. So much water.
18. A lot. Not that much but too much.
19. Feathers!
20. Wings!
21. Hyperrealism. I tend to be more expressionistic, but I admire hyperrealists.
22. Drawing a bad drawing or playing piano exercises
23. Normal most of the time. Gel if I'm colouring scanned linearts. Multiply or shadow map for shading sometimes.
24. I have been down the depths of the stock image rabbit hole.
25. Various anime I've never seen, random indie gallery artists I can't remember.
26. I've made a lot of bird vent artworks that have deep motifwork to me but are interpreted as just pretty and realistic oil/watercolour paintings
27. I like to just doodle a bit first, really whatever fandom I'm into lmao (most of what's on my blog is said warmup doodles)
28. Just my school's art market
29. Undertale/Deltarune. Cool, but just not inspiring really.
30. I have an irl painting called 'Nostalgia' that I really love, but everyone just things is a bit creepy:')
Weirdly Specific Artist Ask Game
Didn't see a lot of artist ask games, wanted to make a silly one.
