Woosung was nervous. So nervous. After 8 long years of being together with you he was finally going to propose to you today. As he walked along the sandy beach path leading upto your cottage he looked around at the waves crashing. Reminding him of the beautiful ephemeral moments in time with you. You both had bought a beachside cottage few years back to chase your dream to live a carefree life and had been living together ever since. His white linen shirt flowing with the wind and his golden brown hair flying. He looked up at the little stars littering the dark night sky as he slowly clibed the stone steps in front of him. There were tiny fireflies surrounding him making the house look like a scene from a fairytale. To say he was scared in the least, he was afraid. What if you said no? What would he do then- he knew that you loved him. But what if you were not ready to be his forever? He just wanted to be with you forever. He wanted to wake up to your chocolate eyes and he wanted to be lost in your breathtaking gaze.

As he entered the house he saw you dancing in the dark with music booming loudly. The moonlight was shining down through the windows casting and ethereal glow on your face. In his eyes, you were the most beautiful aspect of his life. He could stand there quietly and observe you for days. The smooth graceful moves and the way your face showed all the emotions of your dance. He genuinely appreciated how aspectabund you were while dancing He slowly approached you with a loving smile on his face. His phone flashlight guiding him through the small obstacles on the floor. As he neared you he kept his phone on the coffee table and wrapped his arms around you. "Oh you're here" you gave him a lazy smile. "I missed you baby" he whispered sweetly, the cool salty air making goosebumps break out on your skin.
"I missed you too" you replied turning to press a quick chaste kiss on his nectarine lips. You smiled up at him the moonlight glazing his skin. You both started swaying to the music. Slowly, taking your time to savour the beautiful moments of life with him. He took your hands and led you out onto the back balcony. You stood there on the wooden boards staring at the beautiful waves of the sea. Suddenly something caught your eye up in the sky. "Look Woosung! It's a shooting star! Quick! Make a wish.." you said and closed your eyes. Woosung looked over at you. Eyes closed and hands clasped wishing for something so earnestly. He smiled at the breathtaking sight in front of him, namely being you.
He got down on one knee, waiting for you to open your eyes.

He was proud of his timing because just as the clock struck 9 the timed lights switched on..lighting your porch in a warm yellow glow. The little fairylights hidden in the bushes casting an illusion of baby fireflies flying around. He knew that you absolutely adored fireflies. You opened you eyes and let out a small gasp. "Woosung? I-" "Y/n. Thank you for loving me and teaching me how to love. I don't know much about my future but I know that it won't be complete without you in it. I want to spend my lifetime loving you and making you happy. Will you marry me?" You stood there tears glistening in your eyes. You saw his hands were shaking and he was rigid, waiting earnestly for the answer that would change his life. "Yes" you said softly. He got up to his feet as you flung your arms around his neck. "YES. I love you" you screamed out, tears of joy streaming down your face. He pulled back and slipped the most beautiful ring on your finger. In the middle was a beautifully cut red ruby stone. You looked around the porch and noticed roses strewn over the wooden panels. You hadn't been able to observe them before but the warm glow of the lights made it easier for you to see them. He looked lovingly at you and gave you a small kiss on your forehead..then on on nose..and finally he captured your lips In a loving kiss.

Woosung felt like his head was in the clouds. The love of his life had said yes. He felt light-headed and airy, wrapped in a blissful bubble. You held on to him swaying your hips in rhythm with his as you moved to the music. Your bodies melding like one. You smiled imagining your future with him. Seemed like a dream. It felt like paradise at that moment. You and him. On your porch amidst the sand and flowers. The future shining bright for the both of you.
