Old Pokemon Horizons Wip I Found
*Just putting out here that this is old, like, from June last year old, there may be inaccuracies with characters and stuff. Also I just wanted to post this here for some constructive criticism, even though it's old I'd still want some if you have any :)*
If you asked him, standing out on the ship’s dock during the night, gazing up at the stars, is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world. The feeling of the crisp air smoothly sailing through his air and across his face, the majestic look of the stars above, the light of the moon sparkling off the sea waves in just the right way, the lack of harsh light, and pure silence, all these things remind him of why he chose this life style. The feeling of adventure, the thrill of it all. The way he can experience nature to the fullest. Everything here was just perfect. Well, except for the occasional run-ins with the explorers and grazing death, but aside from those small minute issues there couldn’t be a single thing wrong with it. The rising volt tacklers were his family, and he’d go through anything to protect them, no matter the struggles. No matter the dangers. ‘Heh. I suppose that’s the reason I’m out here right now after all.’ The incident earlier today at the beach, with the explorers, and the shiny rayquaza could’ve been very bad. It thankfully ended with no casualties, but still…The situation with the explorers is beginning to get way too dangerous. And he knows that they’ll only have to deal with them for a little bit longer, once they drop Liko off at home they’ll no longer have reason to worry, but he still worries. Not for the crew, but for Liko. The explorers seem pretty adamant on getting her pendent, who’s to say they’ll stop once she returns home. Considering one of Amethio’s main pokemon, Ceruledge, being from the Paldea region it raises the possibility of their main base being in the Paldea region. And if her parents are as absent as they seem, who’s to say they’ll be anyone there to stop them from just picking her off the street. If she kept traveling with them then she’d at least be protected, but then the entire crew would be in danger and as the captain it’s his duty to keep his crew safe, but then again, Liko is practically a part of the crew now, and they were hired to protect her. A sigh manages to escape his lips. ‘This is all becoming too much. Oh well, I’ll just have to figure it out.’ It’ll all work out in the end. He’ll make sure of it.

As he navigated throughout the halls he’d grown to know as home, ensuring to skip over the creaky boards and squeaky metal, he found his way to the kitchen. Hoping to find something to calm his scattered thoughts.
Slowly opening the door, he stepped in and turned to close the door while reaching for the light switch. Once the door closed and the lights were on he turned back around, flinching as he realized he wasn’t alone.
“Dot!”, he squeaked, the surprise of them being there beginning to dwindle,“Gotta give a guy a warning next time. Almost gave me a heart attack, jeez” He exhaled at the last part, hand over his heart, playing into his usual dramatics.
“What’re you doing up?” He inquired, as he walked around to the cabinets, opening one up to find his mug. Setting it down on the counter, he turned to inquire, “Do you know where Murdock moved the tea?”
He was met with Dot’s motionless form and was just about to turn back around and look for it himself, when Dot gestured towards one of the cabinets above him. He smiled, “Thank you, Dot.”
