There was a murmur among the lecture hall, you noted, as you sat down in your usual seat, just to the right of your friend Jennie.
It wasn’t that your contemporary art lecture was usually quiet before your professor arrived, but there was something collective about their words as if everyone was talking about the same thing.
"What’s is everyone talking about?” You pondered to Jennie, eyeing the lovely black and white blouse she had on today. Jennie, unlike you who studied studio art, was a fashion major. There was hardly a day where she didn’t look put together, a hard contrast from you and your usually paint stained clothes.
Back when you first moved to Paris, Jennie had been the first person you had found a friend in. The two of you shared an English class and from then on had managed to have at least one class together per semester.
It had been two years since that first class with her and you were still grateful that circumstance had brought the two of you together. After landing a once in a lifetime scholarship to École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, you feared that you would struggle all alone in the new country but Jennie was in the same boat you were, having moved to Paris all by herself as well.
“Kim Taehyung is a guest speaker today, remember?” She enthused, flashing you an excited smile.
