I know this is late but dude you have no idea how happy I am to see you back! I came up with some headcanons about the rivalry between Solid Snake and Liquid Snake over Fuuka. I think you mentioned that Solid would be a pretty reserved yandere compared to liquid, and I agree. Liquid would definitely be open about how he feels for Fuuka. With Snake, it's harder to tell if he genuinely has feelings or if he's just flirting like usual like he did with the other ladies in metal gear

I'd say they're both in the same level but like you said Snake is more reserved and Liquid is more open with his feelings... But in a negative way. At first Liquid would be in denial with his feelings towards Fuuka and blames her for "messing up" with his mind (she literally did nothing lol just punched him in the face when they were kids /j) but later when he finally accept his feelings, he starts being more "open" towards Fuuka. Unfortunately she the chances are very low for her to accept Liquid since he frickin' killed (not directly but still) her mentor/father figure 💔

And Snake definitely has feeling towards Fuuka but he doesn't have the courage to tell her. Also he does flirt with her but Fuuka is dense as hell so she never gets the hint, poor Snake 😭

I can see the entirety of mgs1 just being a giant rivalry about who gets Fuuka between Liquid and Snake lmao. I can see Fuuka talking with Liquid during the codec calls, thinking he's Miller and whoops! Liquid gets attached. Halfway through the mission he straight up just kidnaps here and Snake has to get to her again. I can see Liquid talking with Fuuka on the codec calls and she says something really sweet and he just pauses like "oh shit she's cute"

Fuuka would notice that there's something strange about Kaz but she would shake away her thoughts and concentrate on the mission. Also she's more emotional with Kaz so it definitely would caught Liquid off guard haha

Fuuka: I can't wait to see you after this mission is over sir *giggles softly*

Liquid: (oh shit oh fuck she's so cute)

After the events of MGS1 and Snake got Fuuka back he takes her with him to take care of her (new trauma achieved: Kaz's death! 💔)

Okay so I've been playing around with the idea of writing a reader insert story where snake and liquid are both romantic yanderes for the same person. Problem is I'm struggling with thinking about how to portray snake as a yandere. Do you have any general ideas or headcanons? I think you have some really good ideas. I haven't given writing a shot in forever but I feel inspired by your artwork to try to create my own yandere content

Well... Solid Snake, a spy, special operations soldier, and mercenary. The Man Who Makes the Impossible Possible.

Possess an IQ of 180 and is fluent in six languages. Expert of high-altitude skydiving, linguistics, closed-circuit open-circuit combat diving, and free climbing...

Honestly I don't consider him as a dangerous yandere that much because of his personality. I would say that he is a pretty reserved yandere (unlike Liquid Snake), the type of "as long as they're happy I'm happy too", just knowing that you're alive and safe he's "fine", Snake believes that he doesn't deserve to have you. But that doesn't mean that he can't just snap and take you.

Snake himself knows that the more time that he spends with you, the more he becomes possessive. So he tries to control it by putting some distance between you and him, not that far, but not that close. But sometimes he can't control himself, he wants to, needs, he is GOING TO-... He lights a cigarette, takes a deep breath and tries to calm down. At some point Snake gets annoyed with this feeling that he has towards you, angry at you for making him feel like that, he already suffers enough with others problems, why do you have to do that to him? ...But he knows that it's not your fault.

Speaking of his problems, another thing that makes him afraid is the accelerated age disease that he has. Snake already accepted the fact that he was going to die soon, but still he can't imagine of you being with someone else.

(this part is more for myself but I would love to imagine of him and you dying together, if he can't have you then no one is going to have you too <3)

Snake is a yandere that wants to prioritize your happiness more than anything... But if you're a person that gets in danger too much, he will lock you up. He can't bear to see you hurt or worse, dying.

Is it weird with the last bit of the solid snake thing the idea of him nose deep in reader's pillow that he snatched while masturbating?

It's... It's not weird, first I thought it was but I started thinking and I agree with you, Snake totally would do that. I can imagine him calling your name while he smells the pillow and masturbate... After finishing, I think he would feel guilty for doing something so disgusting, but... He would do that again.

Not sure what took you to my blog since I'm a literal nobody, but thank you for asking! That Good Yandere Mg s content is in tragically short supply both here and on ao3, though what exists is pretty good.

(You can take my thoughts with a grain of salt since i haven't finished twin snakes yet hehe. Bweoo gave me that sweet infodump)

As for Liquid and Solid, their issues comes from a conflict of perspective

As we've semi-established, Solid is an overprotective type yandere. The kind of man to lend a hand unprompted when needed- whether it be a ride home, a steady hand or a warm word.

(The kind of man who lights his cigarette under a streetlamp perpendicular to your home. Keeping an eye peeled. Just in case)

Overbearing, watchful, observant, in a way the average person could never comprehend. He's lucid enough to know his actions are strange - swiping clothes from your beloved's laundry bin is hardly normal- but cannot for the life of him pull away, he's helpless to escape their orbit. But despite these acts, Snake's desperate to preserve a sense of normalcy.

His endgoal is ensuring his beloved's happiness + wellbeing no matter the cost to his mind, body, and sanity. And if those costs are paid by other people uninvolved in his balancing act...no one (especially not you) needs to know

At the end of another lonely mission, tossing snd turning alone in his military assigned bed, Solid yearns for your warm hand in his.

Liquid however, is a whole other can of crazy. A churning sea riddled with insecurity, daddy issues, and zero impulse control wrapped up in a set of chiseled abs.

Where Solid is "selfess," Liquid is greedy. Where Solid is stable, Liquid is erratic. He demands every iota of your attention while subsequently denying he needs it.

Don't be fooled by his british rage, Liquid craves validation much like a flame craves oxygen. He needs the addictive high of you eyes on him. Only him. He's your world entire, after all (as you are his).

Why would your pretty little head think it needed anyone else?

Unfortunately, Liquid does not take to anyone breaking this illusion. As shown by canon, he deems violence an appropriate problem solving skill. Just, last week he jammed his thumb in agent's eye socket for "flirting" (read: asking your name) with you. After that, no one breathed a word in your direction.

While he's never turned that blazing heat of hatred on you, it could only be a matter of time. A stray glance here or a head tilt there and his beloved might find themselves in hot water with their big bad terrorist 'lover.'

(He's not all bad, not all the time. Not in the dead of night, his arms wrapped around your smaller frame so tight you feared fusing into a single being.)

Ok I went off too long . Anyway...

Solid and Liquid's rivalry/relationship is already tumultuous, but add a common obsession to the mix and their fight would reach a fever pitch.

Solid's careful meticulous planning all goes out the window when Liquid snatches you from the compound. He sees no problem in taking - id might as well be his middle name- and claiming the ultimate prize.

Solid panics -> rushes off to save them -> spirits them from Liquid's maniacally laughing arms -> Liquid devises a way to strike back in rage -> and so on and so forth until one if them explodes.

Not to mention a good chunk of Liquid's insecurity stems from being the "inferior" twin. Losing his partner to Solid is too crushing a blow, so he fights tooth and nail to bring s/o back. Even if he has to drag you kicking and screaming all the way to his base.

Snake wants a peaceful Alaskan retirement, while Liquid wants to set the world ablaze with his beloved by his side. Obviously these futures are not compatible.

Both have a vested interest in securing their s/o to "protect" them from their twin brother. They both see themselves as s/o's ideal partner (of course without consulting them first.

As for who would win? While Liquid has boundless passion, Solid and his more lax demeanour might win s/o over.

(Big boss is a whole other can of worms. To me. He is a fusion of both solid and liquids best/worst traits. The snake yandere gene is real)
