these abrupt endings are both brilliant and pissing me off! The DAMN WAIT is gonna kill me but the tension is so delicious.

It's the entire song: Kanji, Romanji and English lyrics on screen. (Not my work)

I've got no idea what they're saying but it's obvious they agree Wakamiya overdid it.
finally a fic
well, @seekers-who-are-lovers you're not alone anymore. It's only a drabble, but still.

Title: Eye Contact
*Episode 11 spoiler*
He turned as his aide flew in, gracefully landing onstage, down in formal kneeling position before his feathers disappeared. They locked eyes the moment he stood. He wasn't worried about Yukiya's speech, he was more proper with other people. That fact made him happy.
It's his own words he has trouble with. Sumio says he's too honest, he knows he's blunt. Whatever this is Yukiya has kindled in him slowly grows every time they do this, even now, at a time like this.
But he wanted to get his point across.
You mean more to me than they ever could.
(also on AO3.)
How did I miss the foreshadowing in the title sequence?
Spoilers for Yatagaratsu episode 12
I even found it odd the first few episodes, but it took last week for it to click as to who was smiling.

Light brown hair. I read the princesses manga so I know what next week entails, I'm just kicking myself for not noticing it.
Now I'm certain these two have something to do with the final episode. 😉

I thought the difference between the brothers would be bigger, but looking at the flashbacks it makes sense.
Yatagarasu characters and their ages when the anime has begun *

Wakamiya, 16/17 years old (from the novel Vol 2) upon meeting Yukiya
Yukiya, 13 years old at the start of the episodes, but turned 14 after his stint in the Ravine/Taniai (from the novel Vol 2 and manga)
Sumio, not so far from Wakamiya’s age, probably 18 or 19 (of all the characters’ ages, it is only Sumio’s I am unsure of)
Natsuka, 21/22 years old (from the novel Vol 2)
The Princesses

Asebi, 18 years old (from the fan book), has turned 19 at the time for Wakamiya’s bride selection. Chisato Abe wrote on the fan book that Asebi and Hamayu are of the same age.
Hamayu, 18 years old (from the fan book), must have turned 19 during the bride selection
Masuho no Susuki, 16/17 years old (from the fan book)
Shiratama, 14 years old (from the anime), has turned 15 for the next spring
Others
Yukima, 14 years old but will turn 15 that year to celebrate his coming of age during the New Year’s banquet with the North House first couple (from the manga Chapter 2)
Yukichi, 8 years old (from the manga)
Kazumi, 18 years old (from the manga and novel)
*Subject to change
I found a similar vid for the ED.😊 Kanji, Romanji and English.
a guess about why the Prince is so attached to Yukiya
it's has to do with that prologue scene in the first episode, little Yukiya nearly faints, making the boys slide down the ledge.

@freshpizzalady revealed some novel spoilers in another post about the lights being modern Japan and one of the Golden Raven's duties is to maintain the barrier between the worlds.
What if the brothers got through a hole in the barrier and Yukiya almost fainting was because he ran through the barrier? It would explain Wakamiya being there in general and his fascination with Yukiya, his need to have him so close. (Also fits my belief there's more to the legend that only the royal family knows.)

Natsuki-sensei said the endcards will be released as merchandise!! Though I doubt they will reach the West (source).

🤣

his reaction (:O) was literally me when i saw that hamayu was there the whole time
after a rewatch and reread of what I can find in English, I'm developing a soft spot for Natsuka.
What can I say, I'm weak for the strong silent type that works in the background. ðŸ¤

Natsukahiko is more expressive in the manga

Dropping hints

And the dirty work.
and all that hair. I can't stand when mine gets to my waist.

Pretty 😳

Old book covers

As I said, there were other cover arts before Natsuki-sensei's.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find the artist that did these. If anyone knows, please let me know. They are so pretty.
If there is something that I find surprising is how dark Asebi's hair was on the cover of the first book. It seems like her hair is gets lighter every time there is a new adaptation, considering how she looks in the both the manga and the anime.
I love how every book has a different distinctive color (even books 2 and 5 have different shades of blue).

The Raven and his Master (Yukiya & Wakamiya)
Either the Japanese fanbase has made it BL coded or the animators are trying to.

why is their meeting framed in such a romantic light lol
at least they stuck to only one flower falling
I was just flipping throught the untranslated pages of chapter 45 and omg, did Rokon find a kindred spirit in Yukiya?
This cover art is so pretty.

idc if it's Natsuka-sama or someone else, he's so pretty I turned it into my wall.

Finally had time to watch episode 15 and once again they have a moment that could imply there's something more about Yukiya. Don't know if that was a nightmare or what, but I can't help wondering...
Though it is giving me ideas for the fanfic.😉
yeah, it's probably the studio feeding us shippers, but I love how it's Yukiya in the end.
