rant about being a kendratello fan :
i never expected that being a fan of a ship would actually make me so frustrated 😭😭 not only cuz, everybody hates it, everybody hates kendra but also cuz some people are so verbal about it ! ..... to my face! i've been told to my face time and time again by people that they vilely hate kendratello but they like my art atleast. i've been vague tweeted about numerous times !!! as the person who makes good art of a horrible ship
and i've had people who try to reason why not to ship it, cause it's "toxic". number one, you guys probably wouldn't hate kendra if she was a man! be honest! more of the fandom would ship donnie x a male rival cause that's just how fandom spaces work. number two, since it's a quote on quote "straight ship" alot of you guys dislike it! which! is weird!
of course i am biased, this is genuinely my comfort ship. i like the idea of two people who aren't perfect trying to be better for eachother. i also see myself in kendra alot so seeing people hate her or actively tell me straight up they hate her is very infuriating! there's this weird thing about some of you hating her cause she's evil and did bad things .... she's a villain !!! you guys love the other villains but hate her and say it's cuz she tried to kill them!!! but then add up what the other villains do to !!! it's all the same
and then the most popular thing associated with kendratello! is an au where she's an abuser! jesus christ. no hate to the creator, it's just i find it infuriating when i mention kendratello and everybody says the kendratello au in response.
how is it so stressful to be a fan of something that isn't even wrong? 😭😭 it's so weird to me that again people vague tweeted about me, which btw! don't publicly vague tweet about people! they can find it! it genuinely made me so paranoid to post anything about them cause i knew most of you HATED them
