You Made It So It Has A Right To Exist - Tumblr Posts
If you ever think your art doesn't matter
Yes it does, even if on a minuscule level it does. Art makes us human, it keeps us going, and perhaps they don't interact with your work, perhaps they don't comment or like, or share, or reblog, perhaps they do none of that. But it still mattered to someone, in some way, even if that someone is yourself. You still sat down, and created it, weather it be by writing, painting, or sketching, no matter if it's a lower-effort idea, or your Magnum opus, it mattered, you made it, so it mattered, no matter how much engagement. Art, and its creation make us human, we make, no matter how small, even if you don't call yourself an artist, you still make, in small ways. From the breaths you breathe, from the traces you leave behind, you've made something, and that matters, we aren't ghosts that walk without influence, even in our smallest minds, our small capacity, we've made, or perhaps destroyed something. To create something you must destroy something first, so you have made at least something. My point in all this being, post that fic, post that piece of bad art, post it, doesn't matter if it's good, or if anyone will like it, you've made it, and if you'd like to post it, post it, the act of creating it is all that matters, you made it, so it's yours, and you matter, and so does it.
