The Color Green

Criminal Case Mini-Fanfic (but it's s5) request for @helloiamrr

Characters: David Jeremiah Jones, Zoe Kusama, what's left of GPD

Warnings: Nothing much, really.

Jones never thought of the color green. Until he met her.

"Grace! Where'd you get your hair cut!"

"At the beauty salon where Charlene works. She's lucky she didn't mess it up."

"I think it looks slay !"

"Thanks, man! I do too!"

Jones was just eating his bakery as Grace and Nathan talked about how Grace got her hair cut. All he could do is look at the bushes that were all green.

Green. Not much of an interesting color, but was pretty cool. He thought about the color green for an instance.

Ever since June along with Kailin and Ramirez left for Pacific Bay, life in Grimsborough had been a little more safer. Not fully safe, there's still killers for sure. But enough where there's not much trouble.

Back with GPD, a couple of new recruits came, such as the new chief, Gloria, Rita, you name it. Alex and Cathy are actually expecting a baby. Grace is thinking of going to travel around the world. Nathan might be planning to be a Zoo Keeper.

Now what? What's in it for Jones? When will-

Just as he was thinking, a woman accidentally bumps into him and seemed rushed.

"Oh crap! I'm sorry, I didn't see you there!"

She dropped her bag and some of her stuff flew out. Jones quickly rushed in to help her.

"Not a problem, ma'am! Does everything seem okay?"

"Yeah, yeah. I'm just... having a little trouble- hey, you're... Senior Inspector Jones! For GPD, right?! I heard about you and June Shiloh! You guys were partners and took down many criminals, along with the Crimson Order!"

"Yeah. That- that's me." Jones noticed how... pretty the woman was. She was wearing a green jacket with her black shirt under along with some green pants to match the suit. She had black, curly hair and loop earrings along with beautiful dark eyes. "Wow. You're pretty."

The woman was too flattered to speak.

"Pretty cool! I meant pretty cool!"

She started to giggle. Wow. Who knew that just from seeing the color green...

He'd fall in love with it.

"What... what's your name, ma'am?"

"Zoe." She said with a breathless giggle. "Zoe Kusama."

I agree. This statement fits David and Zoe so well. Its even canon. David wants to help Zoe heal, and its a difficult process. Zoe feels like a burden because she does not want David to feel like he's walking on a road full of nails whenever he's with her.

Okay but hear me out:

Ik it's probably weird but to me it shows comfort without saying 'I'm sorry you've been through this, I wish I could heal it' and I will stay by that

Im gonna say it again.

Zoe and Jones deserved better. This is one of the reasons why I kinda hate Ad Astra. They are basically one of the sources for their trauma.

Zoe didnt deserve to be locked up in that asylum. She wasn't insane! If anyone deserved to be in that place it should be Christian Bateman, who IS messed up.

Lastly, Leorux. He didn't have to murder Zoe. If the situation was that bad for him and his friends, he could have just went to the GPD station. But no, thanks to arrongance and lust for power, it lead to a m!rder of someone innocent.
