What are fanstations, please? Thank you.

You see these badboys? These super good quality shots that are so gorgeous they look official but you're pretty sure they're not? These were taken by "professional fans" called zhanjie站姐 who run fanstations/fansites where these photos are shared.

Those two are from 起意•9291, a fanstation that follows both of them. There are fansites that follow only one, and there are those who follow both. I usually only stick with the ones that support both because I don't want to risk running into a fan that is an anti of the other actor. (A lot of solos are really sweet! But playing safe is self care lol)

They only operate during the actors' working hours but strictly not during their private time. Some of them also communicate with the artist studio. The gorgeous unofficial photos you see from WOH filming were taken by the zhanjie who were on set at that time.

There were tons of them in the concert which is why we have lots of gorgeous concert photos. These two are from 月下思凡•1129x0511

There's a surprisingly big amount of fanstations that started supporting both of them when official WOH promotions were coming to an end, which I thought was kind of unusual. Usually zhanjie earn money by selling photobooks of the celebs, so it makes sense for more solo fanstations to crop up after promotions end, because that's when actors usually stop playing nice and start competing for their CP fans and convert them to become solos.

For GJ and ZZH it's like the exact opposite happened. When the WOH promotions were ending there was a sudden influx of zhanjie that supported both of them. They had pretty good foresight tbh because it has been months and GJ and ZZH still have not attempted to split their joint fandom up. It looks like they're fine with sharing a huge chunk of their fandom with each other.

itsRAINING_1129x0511 is one of my current faves. She was a ZZH solo fan who ended up loving GJ too.
