I realize that there might be some kind hierarchy among magic
You know something I like about the new episode that most people probably won't bring up? It shows that Glyph magic isn't as easy to use as it looks.
Like, Eda, whose been doing magic for years and was once the most powerful witch on the isle could barely make a ball of ice. Luz and Lilith show that it takes practice and real understanding of the way they work. It's not as easy as just drawing a circle and tapping a piece of paper.
Everything we seen Luz do over the last episode and last season- The ice barricades, giant vines, jets of fire, explosions, that glowing light Eda head she made- all of those probably took lots of practice and hard work to get right. It means Luz probably spent lots of offscreen hours practicing her magic.
I just like the show confirming that what she does isn't as simple as it looks and that Luz got that far from just being willing to put in the work and time.
That is an excellent point, and I would like to add to this if you don't mind.
While, I orginally posted this as like a haha funny joke, I will say that I do believe that Alador has equal power in this relationship and does have imput in what Odalia does like you said, and it seems to me this futher implicates Alador in the child abuse. This means we can't treat mans like 'UwU poor baby, he just another victim to Odalia's tyranny' like so many are already doing, because we see that his opinion on matters are respected and if mans stays quiet, its because he chooses to not because he is forced to. Alador is no saint, and we shouldn't treat him like one.
P.S. Lets not forget about the Willow incident
Another thing are we just gonna ignore this
I for one find it really funny that everyone is dressed up and then there is just Alador just dressed like he just stepped out of the workshop. And he always looks like this, does man's ever shower?
Also with a with a wife like Odalia, you would think she would have made him change, or maybe its just a visual gag I am thinking way too hard about.
