I’m honestly still offended that Mads Mikkelsen did not play Gellert Grindelwald in fantastic beasts. I mean. Just imagine. The accent. The sexuality. The history of manipulative, superior, morally reprehensible but still weirdly sympathetic characters (*cough* Hannibal *cough*). THE HISTORY OF PALPABLE HOMOEROTIC UNDERTONES AND INDEED OVERTONES (*COUGH* HANNIBAL *COUGH*). Not to mention being truly and totally understood for the first time? The gentle guiding hand into the dark side of one’s own nature? The frigging star-crossed lovers on either side of good and evil???
