What Virgil meant when he told Patton "I'm glad you gave him permission."
In DWIT Patton tells Thomas "This may be unnecessary, but if you start thinking those icky thoughts you have my permission."
Then at the end of the newest episode, after Thomas struggled to get anything done because of Remus and his thoughts Virgil told Patton "Well I'm glad you have him permission."
It's very open and out there to the sides that Virgil doesn't like Remus or Janus. Him and Romen are both upset with Patton for the same reason. Virgil because he's opened the gates for Remus. And Romen because of how fast he accepted and forgave Janus.
Now Patton's traded out his Princely and emo son for a new pair and the other two feel like they've been pushed back because of his new focus.
Patton wants Thomas to be a good person, to do that he needs to work with Jesse and James over there.
Virgil and Romen are trying to protect Thomas from indulgeing in what could become a very bad habit.

And So A Pen Picks Up The Sword
Life is more than the years it’s measured in It is more then the constant blood that flows within you It means more the the pulse the beats It’s worth more that the sting that has yet to be cut
Life is a home built by love By a need to use words instead of violence By the want to have fun for the sake it By the want to no longer be in war By the hope you wont lose it all By the reality that you lose it twice
A man has lost all earthly ties A man has been stabbed and destroyed A man that has lot his mind Is a man who barely dead
He lives on in sprit and as one He loses his son He finds a new lover He refinds all of his brothers
And then he loses it all to his father
So with the startling cry His forever wound bleeds solid The wepon that was once their reformed by tears He pulls out the sword and aims it at the neck Of the man who has now killed him twice
