Yes!!!!! We need platonic Falin & Toshiro fanart, fanfiction. The works.
Fandom's need to stop treating the story's "potential love interest" like shit because it gets in the way of your gay ship and make peace with a platonic relationship that started/continued from a failed romantic relationship. It's okay that a character likes another character, that doesn't make them an enemy to your preferred fav ship.
I think the dungeon meshi fandom is missing out on all the opportunities of seeing Toshiro and Falin relationship platonically as even outside of the crush Toshiro had for Falin I think the two would actually be very good as well as close friends due mostly to their similar interests, behaviors the two showcase throughout the series, and same deep fascination with/understanding of bugs that is often highlighted in their character.
h..hggHello.....
alt version from like.... the dragons perspective......cus it was a Male ......
I point it out because dungeon meshi is a manga/anime that focuses on food as the nourishment to fulfill a goal. It's why the laios party eats monsters. It's why sensei even exists as a character.
The manga/anime points out shuro's fallings to take care of his body and mind compared to them who get enough food and sleep to actually save falin. The same goal shuro's has.
Shuro's hasn't "snapped" at laios until this point, because starvation and exhaustion has brought him to his breaking point
Dungeon meshi fandom try not to demonize shuro challenge: impossible.
Bitches only like Laios Touden because he's fun and whimsical.
Mother Touden has a very strained relationship with her kids due to her own guilt as a mother. It makes sense that a small town would blame the mother for her child's mistake and perceived evil/wickness/general weirdness.
Adding falin's and laios autistic characterization only makes it more sad.
Thinking about the Touden siblings again.
it was just the two of them in all the memories of their childhood. It seems they didn't have any childhood friends, only each other and their animals. Iike they were the only children of that age.
Were other kids wary of them because their father was the chief?
I keep thinking about the empty chairs at the dinner table, just Laios and Falin at first, and then Falin, all alone.
I also noticed the shadow at the door. It's probably their mother watching them (I'm guessing)
I wonder why she didn't join - was it because of Falin's magic? Was she scared of her own daughter?
No wonder Laios felt the need to leave.
No wonder Falin was so happy to have Marcille as a friend.
No wonder both Laios and Falin are willing to sacrifice everything for each other.
