since there didn't seem to be a sign of another ultratober list, i tried making a list of my own, to share and practice around with everyone! remembering last years' list being based off characters and enemies, i thought it'd be interesting to have a more narrative (?) list this time, loosely forming some sort of timeline and a rough theme pattern

"Don't know what's more surprising: The fact I'm my own being or the fact I escaped that eldritch abomination. Although, it's going to take some time adjusting to the new look." - Sonic the Werehog, fragment become incarnate.

After the events of Sonic Unleashed, the fragment of Dark Gaia that created the Werehog gains it's own sentience upon exposure to Sonic's heroic heart. The fragment goes buck wild inside the slumbering deity, snatching bits of Dark Gaia's power along the way.

It soon escapes upon someone attempting a summoning: whether trying to get Dark Gaia or any creature that would answer the call. Thanks to the collection of power it taken from dark deity, the Werehog is reborn in a completely new form.

Unlike his previous form, the Werehog is his own person and more powerful than before. His personality is similar to Sonic's but with slight changes. The Werehog is more aggressive and open to the idea of ripping apart those that threaten the safety of people he considers as his treasure. Touch starved as whoever he likes tends to struggle trying to escape his iron grip cuddles and attention craving.

Just like Dark Gaia, the Werehog has the ability to manipulate darkness that grows during the night. When restrained during the day, he can sense any malicious intent near him, travel short distances by diving into shadows, slip into the shadows to hide and boost his speed channeling his energy into his feet.

When night falls, the Werehog can fully control shadows to capture or strike opponents, become an actual shadow to avoid attacks or for stealth and detect those with dark hearts within a 5 mile radius.

Today's Werehog Wednesday amongst the Sonic community and felt like the good time to post this. Unlike a good chunk of people, I love Sonic Unleashed and the Werehog. The night stages is a good break from normal game and the beat em up is a good stress reliever especially when you take his moveset into consideration.

The Night Stage music is even better with a more quiet and mystical atmosphere, my personal favorites being Jungle Joyride for Adabat and Rooftop Run for Spagonia.
