a little reminder for my aroace/aspec friends:

it's okay to have a crush. it's okay to like someone. it's okay to have a summer fling. it's okay to like romance. it's okay to read and watch romance. it's okay to doubt. it's okay to change. it's okay to undo that change. it's okay to exist.

sexuality is fluid. romantic attraction is fluid. people change. you are still aroace, or whatever you want to be. there is no perfect definition of how to live your life.

Don't let anyone else tell you how to exist. You define yourself.

been doing all sorts of contemplating about being ace recently. not entirely sure why. i know i am 100% ace. it's been really interesting to reflect and see that i'm probably somewhere on the arospec, too. idk where exactly, still figuring that out if i'm gonna bother with that at all but just. it's been an interesting month, that's for sure.

like my sister (the ace one) has offered her and her bf to go on double dates with me when i do start dating. and for some reason the idea of that is just terrifying. idk if it's just because i've never been on a date orrrrr if it's just my social anxiety or because i do want romance but i don't really feel like i could just go on a date with a random stranger. like what. complicated feelings and overthinking galore

but knowing im arospec does give some comfort. it helps me understand myself better. it'll help me navigate going back to college for the first time in 2 years more. just. more ranting, thanks for reading this if you did at all
