It’s funny; everyone on the ship knows that you and Ace are dating- hell, probably the whole world with how he shows you off. But damn, did you still get stares. Any time you went to a bar to get more drinks for both you and Ace, you’d get approached by someone, without fail. Ace wasn’t the jealous type, no.

Another party on Whitebeard’s ship had everyone drinking, including Ace. You and him were chatting along on the sidelines, as you do, when his hand came around your hip and he sat you down on his lap, hands looping around your waist and his eyes peering out over your shoulder.

You couldn’t see his face with your back to his chest, but he was staring at someone, someone who had been eyeing you all night. Knowing you would ask for a reason why you were seated on his lap, he muttered something into your shoulder.

“…You looked cold.” He said simply, not wanting to state the real reason: he was jealous; as if he wasn’t your boyfriend already.

“Ace, it’s the middle of summer, what’s your deal?” You knew exactly what was wrong, from the slightly curt response, you could tell he was jealous, you just want to hear it come out of his mouth.

“Fine.. but can we take this somewhere else?” He said before you gave him a slight nod, allowing him to drag you to the crow’s nest. Once the two of you were there, and when you made sure nobody was eavesdropping on you two, then let him continue.

“Look, I’m a little jealous—“

“A little? I could literally feel the steam coming out of your ears.”

“Okay, maybe a little more then a little- but what I’m saying is that you’re mine, and only mine.” He said while wrapping an arm around your waist, not noticing the small, amused smirk growing on your face.

“Only yours, huh?” You asked, not exactly expecting an answer, rather speaking to yourself.

He just let a small nod in response, resting his chin on top of your head before looking back in your eyes with slightly hunger in his gaze before he leaned in and captured your lips into a heated kiss.
