Same As Before, These Are My Shots For The OKKO Short Power Up, That You Can (hopefully) Watch Here.
Same as before, these are my shots for the OKKO short Power Up, that you can (hopefully) watch here.
The bottom uncolored shot was cleaned up by the ever amazing Zeurel Twitter - Youtube I wish I could’ve done more with Enid. She was harder for me to draw so I sorta got cheap with her animation.

Here’s my main bulk of work from the Ori reveal trailer for Rivals of Aether which you can watch here
I learnt a lot during this project, and Jake gave me some really cool chances to flex my muscles and try new stuff, but by the end of it I was left overwhelmed. This was the first time in Yotta I got to deal with more action heavy shots, and more complex characters than the ones I worked on from OK KO, and a lot of times it felt like I was unprepared for the task. The first shot was actually the last one to be animated, and I was in charge of all of it. I kept remaking Maypul (the green raccoon thing gal) and the smoke FX, changing the framing, then I had to add a wipe using Forsburn’s cape, and it wasn’t working. I had two of the most work intense weeks of my life during this shot, and it was all my fault, because I’m sure a better animator wouldn’t have struggled so much with what is ultimately a very simple shot. What’s worse is that a couple of hours away from the deadline, I still had essentially all the clean up left to do, so it took Jake, Nicole Derksen, Forosha and Ismael’s help to save my sorry ass. (Check their work by clicking their name!) I’m really thankful for the oportunity I was given, and I did try my best, but looking back at it, I feel disappointed in myself. Like I should’ve done more in less time, that at this oint in the game I should be better at time management, that my FX work is super bad and I need to study it for like 2 year, and not try to improvise in the middle of work. This blog post got a lot more depressing than I would’e thought, since this is the first time I was actually allowed to post gifs of my Yotta work, and I’m legit happy I got to work on it, and everyone did such a great job with it. Maybe I’m being a bit hard on myself, maybe I haven’t been hard enough, but whatever the case, all I have left to do is keep improving and keep working towards my end goal. Thanks for reading if you’ve made it this far!

Rick and Morty x Run The Jewels music video: Oh Mama For @adultswim directed by Juan Meza-León and animated by Studio Yotta. Here’s all the shots I worked on for this amazing proect. It was both a huge challenge and privilege Shot 01 was animated by Young Cin Kim, a full 5 and a half seconds of mind blowing BG animation that I got to clean up. And Shot 97 was keyed by Sandra Rivas (Twitter - Tumblr), and inbetweened by me. Then we split clean up between the two, however it was later on revised by Kreid (Twitter) and Jaxxy (Twitter) with some final touch ups by me. This gif is the version before revisions, so you can see is different in the final product.
Hey guys, this was the latest thing to keep me busy these past couple of months and it’s out already! It was a dream working alongside the yotta talent, and the final result is so amazing, please go watch it.
Mad respect for the animators that had to draw those fucking belts. Here’s a gif of my favourite Jojo.
