Dumb Little Pearl warm up animation. What the fuck does she look like from the front?!

So this is some of the progress made... That I'm going to scrap. See, animation in Photoshop is something I'm not familiar with, so my usual workflow is doesn't work. The hand wobbles too much and changes length when they arms are extended. Dipper is still too off-model and so is the Diary. Im gonna re do clean up and such, but hey, this is a learning experience that I value.

So this is happening.... (WIP)

Having LOTS of issues with inbetweening and volume consistency. Adding the hand and the 3 to the journal is gonna be a pain. I'm gonna paint the background myself, so you shouldn't expect much. If everything goes well, I'm gonna finish it and share my process. See you at the end of the tunnel.

Taking another stab at it. This time in Photoshop, Here we have the roughs, and the clean up and inbetweens. Also, I keep tagging these things with "animators on Tumblr", but for some reason, that tag only leads you to "animals on Tumblr"... what's that about?

So guess who just binge-watched #Stevembomb AND both seasons of Gravity Falls....

Yeah, it was pretty emotional and heavy and draining. BUT ALSO... it pumped me up. Ayone who knows these shows and their creators know just how much of a passion Project they are. They come from a place of sincerity, of just wanting to get that story out of your chest. The need to créate something of worth. Everyone Works so hard and you can tell, no one is just half assing it. They love their show as much as we do, and that is something I aspire to do. To be able to tell a story, to be part of something that can inspire people into creating, and that makes me happy inside. It's not about the money or the fame, but knowing you meant something in someone's life, and knowing that it all came from your own passion... That must feel great. I guess I just wanted to thank Alex Hirsch and Rebecca Sugar, and all of the wonderful people who's hard work and dedication has inspired so many people. Including me... Man this is a lengthy ass post... and I'm writing it in my underwear. Food for thought.
