I might be obsessed

that one scene where lee asks her mom about what happened on her 9th birthday is stuck in my head. you can so clearly see how ruth is fighting the devil's influence so she can give lee even the slightest clue about what happened, to the point where she even starts crying, anxiously peeking into a presumably empty corner of the room over and over. telling lee that she never threw anything away and that all of her stuff is still in her room is the only thing she can manage and you can feel how terrified she is of the consequences of giving lee that tiny hint. obviously having lee go through her stuff in her room and finding the polaroid of longlegs was all part of the devil's plan, but ruth didn't know that. in this moment, she disobeyed the literal devil because she loves her daughter so much. god, i love this movie.

I had to draw this, because I could picture it so well. Dale alone in his basement, laying on his messy bed, playing some random bass tunes and probably missing his old days being just a glam rocker without Satan's duties.

i watched longlegs and was immediately captivated by her autistic demeanor
