I’m relistening to the audiobook of Emily Wilde’s and the more I hear about degray and icorn (idk how their names are spelt since audiobook) the more I want to read a book about them as well
And the hints of the academic drama at Cambridge?? I love it. It reminds me about how different departments have drama at my college that I hear about
Heather Fawcett did a great job with the casual world building and I literally cannot wait for the next book. I’m gonna keep relistening until I can afford to buy the book, then I’m gonna reread it til I can get the next
I’m also gonna keep posting my thoughts because I haven’t enjoyed a book this month in years

Sorry to everyone who’s enjoyed the last 130 years of science and culture journalism, but Disney needs the money to fund Toy Story 9
I sat down to knit and now my cat is kneading my leg and her claws are sharp but she’s so cute and I love her she is my child
I'd rather have a thousand "OHMIGOD WE WERE RIGHT!!!" theory confirmed moments where due to good storytelling and foreshadowing the audience was able to figure out parts of the future plot than just one more stupid twist that makes no narrative sense to avoid being "predictable".
If people knowing anything about your plot spoils the show entirely maybe it's just no good lmao.
It's not worth ruining your narrative themes and character integrity just so everyone is shocked. Sometimes twists that have been guessed .... Are better.
