BURNT BEYOND BELIEF

His long legs touched the end of the bedframe. His long arms spread across the bed, and his hands dangled from the end. Blood dripped from his fingertips. His saxophone was on the ground, like he dropped it and never picked it up. The blood was on his keys. Dry tears were stained on the face. He couldn't fall asleep on this. It hurt his eyes to even close them. So he lay there, his heart shattered, silent as a mouse sneaking its way from a cat. No light touched his tear stained face.

No matter what happened, his burns would always be there. On his arms. Stomach. Neck. Fingers. Stinging, burning, bleeding. WORTHLESS. His attempts to continue playing sax have finally failed after twenty-five years. No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no. I can't be done. No, I can't be weak... not for him. No, no... I can't stop now. Not now. Not after twenty-five years. No. I won't. I won't stop. Not. Now. His attempts to stop his pain were usless. Words can't stop agony. His excruciating pain.

He couldn't take it anymore. He needed someone. He called the first name that came in mind. Lips. Oh God, where would he be without him? He was so helpful. He called for him a few times, but his voice was broken, catty, and quiet from all his silent sobbing. Silent screaming. A small light shined on his shoulder. "Zoot?" A voice, one he knew and loved, ringed in Zoot's ear. "Zoot?" He called again. "Were you calling me?" He tried to respond to him, but his voice must've despised him now. He tried to hold his hand out, but in the dark, no one could see his lumps for flesh. He walked toward him and looked down at him, lowering himself to match Zoot's height. Every burn, every bruise was showing. He wiped the tears from his face. "Is it your burns?" he asked.

God, you couldn't even tell they were hands. The veins were visible near his wrists. They stung with pain. They hung stupidly from his wrists. The skin was cracked, and it was not a very fun sight to see.Then there were the burns on his arms, that swayed stupidity, and were numb almost always. His back, a carcass. Maybe an inch deep, those burns. On his chest, it was like someone had shot him, but it was just another burn. His fingers were wrapped in burns, and his left shoulder was a stinging open wound.

He held his hand, the one that wasn't as burned, and lightly caressed it."It's not as bad as you think, Zoot." A feeling crept over his burnt shoulder. It's a feeling that it's only going to get worse. A feeling that hurt him. Everything hurts me, doesn't it? Back then, it all felt harmless. Nowadays, all he feels is pain. Why? He'd never know.

Okay here me out right

The main question no one asks is why is lips the only one that cameos with the mayhem and not just say that all songs don't need a trumpet player, all songs don't need a saxophonist so what gives?

Out of alot of Media lips appears the least and if I would scale it animal out of everyone appears the most ( solo wise ) anyone else agree?

I just wish ( other than the Muppets mayhem series (2023) ) there was some more lips love , I love the Fluffy haired man

Also, can we just appreciate the cosmetic procedure that lips had over the years from earlier muppets to now 🦷🥁🎸🎺🎷🎹🎸
