It seemed fitting her walk home would be interrupted in another violent attempt, and sent enough shock through her that she stared tensed against the wall as the man stopped any further profane remarks from the stranger who had approached her.

"Nothing to be sorry for...thank you," she managed to get out, blinking tiredly and adjusting her bag over her shoulder. "Just some asshole trying to ruin someone's night. My bad luck that I was the target tonight."
