"You look real stressed for someone who started their first day back." Kai couldn't help it. He looked confused like he appeared in the wrong class -- she remembered in the beginning how crazy it was mapping out the university to find the right rooms, but after three and a half years she wasn't so stressed anymore.

"Get lost?" she asked, not meaning to pry. It was more so a distraction for herself since last semester meant graduation was coming up, and she still didn't have a plan for herself.

"Everyone's trying to get in to ethics because the university didn't make enough courses this year for it. Everyone's trying to get in at once." If it wasn't for her being on the waiting list for the last two semesters, she'd have been forced to wait another year to graduate, which was looking more tempting each day considering she had no plan after this year ended.

Kai shrugged her shoulders, taking pity on the young man who looked out of breath. He must have come pretty far -- it was going to be a long semester for him if he had to do this twice a week.

"You know, you could probably rent one of the bikes to get around faster. Would suck if it rains, but better than getting a run in between classes."

Seb had his schedule for Thursday clenched in his left hand, all 3 classes hastily scribbled on a Post-It-Note. He had dashed across campus from his first class to his second one – a class that was a general requirement that he had been unable to get into for his first couple of years, due to small class sizes. He thinks the office took pity on his struggles to get into this stupid requirement class and put him higher on the list of preferred students, due to his higher level.

But he had to ask why they had to force all of the kids to take Ethics of all things. American History was almost a joke since he proved that he had passed the college level equivalent of World and British History back home, but the school insisted he needed the American one too. (eye roll)

His eyes had darted to the Post-It in his hand to double check the room, then they jerked up abruptly when someone addressed him. He looked up and saw a girl speaking to him.

"Actually I'm not lost – just had to make a mad dash from the other side of campus to make it to this required class," he replied. "For being a requirement, why is it so damn hard to get into Ethics?"

"I don't know if I should be hitting you or hugging you right now," Kai said with her hands on her hips, clearly irritated, though relieved to see them. "So tell me which one it's supposed to be before I decide."

Kai spent too much time on her phone and she knew it. Her ability to completely disregard the world around her, unintentionally, was going to get her injured. She'd already walked in to a few poles, tripped down a curb, but this time stepping right in to a puddle? This was new.

Her phone went flying out of her hand, mid text to her parents, and flopped face first in to a massive puddle that was visible to anyone else. Apparently, not her. Kai couldn't even get upset at her own stupid ability and sat there in the puddle for at least three seconds contemplating life before she accepted defeat and tried standing up.

"Yeah, bet it's gonna be a real thrill," Kai said in a monotone voice, too busy trying to find her notebook for class on the counter. Her roommate was quite...odd, but he never caused trouble inside the apartment, so she just went with it. And he was good company. Kai could've done a lot worse.

"As long as I don't come home to a mess, we're good -- where is my notebook?" she asked mid sentence, doing a complete spin in the kitchen trying to find it. "I was studying right here last night and can't find it anywhere. Did you take it?" Probably not, but she never knew with Salem and asked a lot of weird questions since they'd met.

"A thank you? You're two hours late! I thought something happened to you!" Kai snapped, closing the distance between them and shoving her finger in tot he middle of his chest. "You're so lucky that I actually like you or else I'd actually be punching you!"
