I always envision that Megumi calling Gojo Dad would be one of those blink-and-you-miss-it situations, where Gojo almost thinks he misheard him. Megumi’s quieter, after all, softer-spoken, so it’s just as likely that he called him “dolt” or “daft.” And it’s because of that that Gojo almost lets it slide.

But Yuuji doesn’t. Yuuji heard Megumi clear as day, and is QUICK to repeat it as loud as fucking possible — “Did you just call Gojo-sensei ‘Dad’?”

And of course, the second Nobara catches wind of this, she jumps right the fuck in, and soon, everyone is crooning about how Megumi called Gojo “Dad.”

Meanwhile, Gojo, for once in his life, is speechless; he’s just staring, open-mouthed at Megumi who looks like he has resigned from this world.

And then, Gojo is giddy. For as long as he lives, he will never let Megumi forget that he slipped up and referred to him as his Dad. Like it’s just a constant barrage of “listen to your father,” and “as your father, I think ___,” or his personal favorite (and Megumi’s 13th reason), “you need to ask Daddy’s permission, Megumi!”

Inwardly, Gojo is both soft as a marshmallow that Megumi might see him as fatherly at all, but also horrified because all he thinks about is who Megumi’s real Dad is, and those are flashbacks he doesn’t want at ALL).

On the other hand, I envision both Yuuta and Yuuji having a Freudian slip and calling Gojo “Dad” — a la Jake Peralta in Brooklyn 99. Both are quick to deny it at first, but neither can talk their way out of it, and so, they lean into it.

Gojo’s ego is inflated about 500% that his students might view him as parental (even if, truthfully, that thought both breaks his heart and terrifies him a bit).
