Hey hey! Here’s a short list of terms you might want to know if you’ve just joined Tumblr: (Feel free to add on or correct my definitions)

Anti: Someone against certain ships, usually those containing incest/pedophilia, usually on the basis that it’s morally wrong/promoting incest/pedophilia

Anti-Anti: Someone against Anti’s- also known as pro-ship- usually on the basis that someone might use the ships to cope/they themself ship it

Cancel Culture: a “culture” that is usually used to stop people from looking a certain creator. While sometimes this is based on current actions the person is doing, more often than not it’s based on actions someone did in the past and and moved on from and/or false information

Cringe Culture: a “culture” based on bashing people (usually children) for being in “cringy” fandoms (Ex. Sonic, FNAF, etc.) This is widely disliked though many people

DNI’s: abbreviation for “Do Not Interact”. This will include people or people with certain ideologies that the person does not want interacting with their account

Fandom/fan base: the group of people who like a certain show/series/book/creator/etc.

Purity Culture: a “culture” that forces people (especially content creators) to be perfect/pure in every way- closely related to cringe culture

Queer-platonic relationship: A relationship that doesn’t fit either the platonic or romantic label. It’s commonly shortened to QPR

Stimboards: A set of usually nine GIFs that show images of satisfying things, often used as a visual stim

Stim: Short for “self-stimulatory behavior”. Something done with any of the five senses to help manage strong emotions, overstimulation, or other things. Often used in reference to people with ADHD and Autism

Squick: Something not quite as bad as a trigger, but makes the person uncomfortable

Squish: A crush, but in a queer-platonic way

Trigger: Something that brings back traumatic memories and/or sends someone I to a panic attack (Definitions vary)

So I may have found a new anime to binge and finished the whole first season in a day (24-23 ep) and season 2 doesn’t come out till April of 2021... T-T

Anyway, I was just putting this out there, cuz I’m a dramatic person and I want to lament so I’m doing that here

Nice Fire Lord Zuko content:

He has weekly/biweekly dinners with the gaang so they can catch up and hang out

He promotes the guard, Ming, who was nice to Iroh in prison. He makes her one of his personal guards for when he’s out and about. She’s a good 15 yrs older than him and remembers how sad and angry he used to be as a tween and is so happy for him for turning out just like his uncle. She is instantly ride-or-die for Zuko the second Zuko promotes her bc Iroh has already talked to her abt the good he’s done and she’s SO ready to protect the first nice Fire Lord in centuries/ever

Zuko sending scouts out to search for Azula because he worries about her every day and just wants to know if she’s at least alive

Zuko feeling super weird abt eating at a giant table with one or zero ppl with him so he just makes meals a part of his servants’ pay and tells the cook to make enough for everyone. He integrates some of his servants into the same mealtime as him and rotates it so he can chat with them daily. Every servant has a meal with the Fire lord once or twice a week and the entire time he asks about them and is generally sweet and this helps them feel more at ease with him.

Zuko insisting on days off, vacation days, and as much paid time off for parents as possible. Zuko sitting down with his workers and getting honest answers about what their true needs are as far as being an employer goes and making that happen

Zuko always saying please and thank yous to his servants and bowing to them as equals instead of making them bow exclusively to him

Zuko starting that thing some medieval rulers are seen doing where he has allotted time every day for any citizen to come in and ask for help, propose laws that would help the people, and generally honestly telling him how he could improve the Fire Nation. Zuko having someone take notes for him during all visiting hours so he can bring them up in meetings as leverage

Zuko having bright vibrant festivals and balls, some of them in the palace, and generally putting in more effort to make the Fire Nation a fun and lively place. Zuko showing up at every ball to greet his guests and being very involved with making sure everyone is comfortable and cool

All of these listed social things putting Zuko WAAAY out of his introvert comfort zone but after talking to Iroh about it he realizes it’s all essential so he puts in the time and effort even though he ends every day emotionally and physically exuausted but being at peace knowing it helped heal his nation a little more

Zuko turning into one of those introverts who masquerades as an extrovert by day and hits the blunt at night just so he can go to sleep but sleeping well knowing he did the best he could
