Annegirl13 - Miss Anne’s Place

Finally, we’ve reached the end of the Tinker round.  I hope you enjoyed it.  I had fun playing it, even when it was absolutely chaotic!  (What was I expecting, with double pregnancies, twin toddlers, and a child in the house?) Look below the cut for more about what happened this round.  

Having twin toddlers obviously meant a lot of toddler training. I think both Bass and Treble learned to talk and walk before their birthdays.  Despite our best efforts on the potty training, they didn’t manage that.  (Somehow I can never manage to potty train my toddlers.  I really need to start using Smart Milk...)

Cadence definitely developed a bit of a personality this round.  She’s a great big bundle of energy!  Every time I looked away from her, she was bouncing on the bed or jumping in puddles.  I like her a lot.  

She made friends with Justin Kim and Tessa Ramirez, too, which made me very happy.  I think both Justin and Tessa are older than Cadence, but I’m hoping they’ll be able to play a bit more as kids this round before they grow into teens.  

Stephen and Wanda spent a lot of time doing this, because the toddlers’ favorite toy was the potty.  I’m pretty sure all the bathrooms in the house had puddles in them for most of the round. 

I’ve already talked about how Stephen and Wanda gave birth within minutes of each other, leading to me replaying the births over and over (and over and over and over) to get the babies I wanted.  What I didn’t talk about was what happened to Wanda after she had Clef. 

In the story, I only showed her collapsing, but she actually went into aspiration failure.  Yeah, she rolled a “Have a Baby” fear just before going into labor.  

Of course, she rolled a want for a baby shortly afterwards (while she was still in therapy!) 

I decided that Wanda’s collapse after going into labor means she had complications giving birth to Clef.  She recovered okay, and Clef is just fine, but the doctor has advised Wanda not to get pregnant again.  It could be dangerous for her and the baby.  She won’t be carrying any of the last four kids we need for the challenge.  They could always adopt again, though, and Stephen could spend some more time at the telescope. 

I didn’t intend this little plot twist, but Wanda’s aspiration failure was too surprising to leave out of the story, and this seemed like a good way to get it in there.  It’s hard to convey any of this in the wordless format I’ve set for this family, so I hope it made sense in the story without the explanation.

Although I didn’t show it, Stephen did go into the business for a day.  He learned how to dazzle, but the shop is still at Level 3.  Maybe he’ll be able to do a bit more there next time. 

Obviously, the round ended with a double birthday party.  Several neighbors came, and so did Melody.

She picked up Clef all by herself.  I’ve missed her being a good big sister. 

I love the twins.  I love the clothes they grew up into. I love the way Treble was so excited to see her brother grow up. (Did you see her jumping? She practically touched the ceiling!) I love that they had a pillow fight in the middle of the kitchen.  They are clearly both full of energy just like their sister, and I am so excited to see what they get up to next time!

Lisa isn’t letting morning sickness keep her from taking care of her family, or celebrating the fact that Tessa is finally out of her grilled cheese phase.  Pancakes for all!

I’m working on finishing the Ramirez round, so have a couple of highlights.  Lisa is definitely expecting another baby. Checo still thinks she’s hot stuff. Tessa teenified and she and her mom currently have matching jammies.  

All this and more is coming in the Ramirez round, which I’m hoping to get finished this week and queue up starting next weekend.
