Baby Time!

Baby time!

Sorry this didn’t go up with the end of the round.  I had it in drafts and forgot to finish it!  I hope you all enjoyed the Ramirez round.  I certainly did.  Look below the cut for a few background details and my thoughts on what happened.  

The Ramirezes are generally an easy family to play, especially after the chaos of the Tinker house. We only managed two of the three challenges this time, though, because I failed to throw a roof raising party for Tessa. (Whoops!) On the bright side, Checo did meet the extra challenge of getting fit again, and we did have baby Carmen, so I think that makes up for it. 

 I love how Tessa grew up, and I love her homework face. She really is a gorgeous sim. I’m already matchmaking Tess and Justin Kim. He is going to grow up when I get to his family this round, and I think the two of them would be good together. They both love their dogs. I can see them with a dog training business maybe. We’ll see what happens with attractions and aspirations and such, I guess. 

I really don’t know why Checo couldn’t earn a gold fishing badge. I tried to look up how long it takes (or how many fish, or whatever requirements there might be) but couldn’t find any info. It could be a mod conflict, or some other game glitch. I’m not terribly worried. I just kind of wish I had used all the time he spent fishing to do something else. Ah well. At least I have 47 pictures of him fishing in various locations. 

I feel like there’s always just a little story tucked into the Ramirez round. I liked writing the conversation between Checo and Lisa about her pregnancy. I want to do more with their friendship with the Tinkers next time around. Maybe a double date? Tessa could babysit. 🙂 

I’m eager to see baby Carmen grow up. I think she is going to be lovely, just like her sister. I’m also excited to see how Tessa really does as a big sister. 

 The Ramirezes are just a fun family to play. I love them a lot. Hopefully we will see them around town a lot for the rest of the round. In the meantime, the Larsons are up next, and I’m planning on adding something to their mini-challenge to make them a bit more...exciting. I haven’t started playing them yet, but I’ll let you know when I have posts queued up again.  In the meantime, thanks again for reading and for all the likes and comments.  See you soon!

Malcolm is my favorite.  Jodie was spying on him with her telescope (which is a super powerful one, since it can see him all the way in Downtown) and he came over to yell at her.  He made his angry face...but became best friends with her at the same time.  He’s just a marshmallow. :)

I’ll admit, I cheated.  I sent Checo out fishing again (for what felt like the zillionth time).  I kept him at the pond for days, cheating his motives up, and he still didn’t get his gold badge.  I checked his inventory and found he’d caught over 100 fish (even if you don’t count the boots), so I decided he’s earned the badge, even if the game won’t give it to him.  Seriously, we have enough fish to live through an apocalypse challenge now.  Yeesh!

I would live in the Subject’s cell if you were there with me. Besides, there is time to run the counterfeiting machine before we leave. If you pack our things, then I will print enough simoleons to buy you two castles in Champs Les Sims.”Circe kissed him back. “You always know exactly what to say,” she murmured, pulling him down to the couch. There would be time to pack and print money later. — Dance with me Circe hated hospital fundraiser functions. She had so many better things to do. Dressing up and spending an evening in a hotel ballroom, talking about all the good they were doing and all the lives they were saving…it was enough to make her sick. The only reason she ever went was to raise money for her research. Well, that and dancing with Loki when he was in a tuxedo.Loki was attractive in whatever he wore. She loved seeing him in his sweater and slacks, or his lab coat. Watcher, the way he looked in that lab coat, with his goggles on and electricity sparking around him from a project! It was one of her favorite sights. But seeing him in a tuxedo was an experience in itself. Something about it just spoke to the Fortune sim in her. Dancing with him made her feel like a millionaire’s wife. It was really the only good reason to go to those stupid functions.

High school homework is harder than elementary homework, but at least Tessa pulls amazing faces while doing it. :)
