Post MJ Finnick becomes an introvert. After a full decade of being forced to keep his social battery up and talk to people he couldn’t care less about, he’s just tired. His social battery is quite literally in the negatives. The only people Finnick can hold a conversation with for more than ten minutes is Annie, Katniss, and Peeta, occasionally Johanna. Mans just wants his wife and kids and he’s happy. Finnick only goes out when he has to, which honestly, good for him.

Annie’s full name is either Annalise or Anemone, and her middle name is Cove. Annelise Cove Cresta-Odair/ Anemone Cove Cresta-Odair.

Finnick’s middle is either Caldon or Perseus. Don’t ask why I think it just sounds good. Finnick Caldon Cresta-Odair/Finnick Perseus Cresta-Odair? take your pick.

I like the idea of Peeta’s middle name being Patroclus(mainly because of the symbolism) but I don’t think it fits well, so I’m still deciding on what I think fits him. I think his middle name being bread is funny tho. Someone give me suggestions I need it😭

Katniss’s middle name is either Echinacea (like the herb), but she hates it, or Eileen (little bird/ beautiful bird), or just doesn’t have a middle name at all.

Johanna seems like the person not to have a middle name.

Effie’s middle name is Fifi or Cleo. I don’t really know why but I think Cleo fits more. Effie Fifi Trinket/Effie Cleo Trinket.

Mrs. Everdeen’s name is Erica, I found this from another tumblr account and really liked it but I forgot the account😭

Summary: Johanna’s perspective from her victory tour all the way to post-Mockingjay. One-sided Joannie-centric. Angst. Lots of angst.

Chapter One.

I’ve always known I like girls. Just not a girl.

Especially not now.

Falling in love as a victor was a dumb decision. Unless they’re a victor themselves, you shouldn’t bother with it. And even if you do, kids was out of the question.

I never thought about love now, if I ever did at all. I didn’t plan on that, either.

That was until President Snow called me to his office right before my Victory Tour. What does he want from me now? He’s already killed my family. I don’t have a choice, so I have to go anyways, although it doesn’t stop me from having these thoughts in my head.

I enter his office and sit down.

“Ms. Mason.” His snakelike eyes flicker up to me. There is a cold, unbothered smile on his lips, like it says he knows what I’m thinking but simply isn’t threatened. And why would he be? I’m completely powerless against him.

I don’t say anything, simply raising an eyebrow. Snow takes the hint and continued on. “As you may know, your victory tour will be starting in a couple days.” He plucked a rose from the vase on his desk.

“I’m quite aware.” Is the first thing I say. My arms are crossed defiantly, but we both know who holds all the cards. The answer isn’t me.

“You also may know that we want all new victors to interact and mingle with the victors of other districts.” Why he’s taking so long to get to his point, I have no idea why. I cant say “Hurry up, old man!” as much as I want to.

I let a slightly exasperated sigh slip. “I also know that.” Snow must enjoy watching people get impatient and restless.

“Well, since you’re so up to date, I have a request of you.” Request, meaning a requirement that I have to complete or Snow will find another way to punish me and my defiance.

“And what is that?” I’m a bit curious, but I mask it with annoyance. Snow twirls the rose between his fingers, slowly, slowly, slowly..

“You have heard about the unfortunate situation regarding last year’s victor, I assume?” Of course I have. Everyone knows about Annie Cresta going mad after the 70th Hunger Games. She hasn’t made any appearances since her Victory Tour. I’m thinking Snow must’ve shoved her back to Four so she wouldn’t humiliate him further.

He doesn’t wait for me to say anything or retort. “I want you, when you get to District Four, to talk to her. Mingle in front of the cameras.” Out of all the victors? Her? Theres a silent question in my eyes.

“Well, we want her to appear the slightest bit normal for the Capitol. And the best way to do that is having her seem chatty and friendly with other victors.” And since I’m the recent victor, it’s gonna be me, is the unadded part.

Snow, once again, continues on without my input. “Your Victory Tour is in three days. I expect you to have come up with an answer by then. If not, I can send over some.. encouragement.”

Me and Snow both knew what “encouragement” meant. We also knew that those days to “think” meant nothing, because I’ll just be doing it anyways.

“No encouragement needed.” I don’t bother to hide the snark in my voice. He isn’t bothered. I get up out of my seat and leave without being dismissed. He doesn’t stop me.

Great. Now I’m forced to hang around the mad girl when there’s more important people to talk to. And for what, so she doesn’t humiliate Snow and the Hunger Games more than she already has?

I should just suck it up now, because I don’t have a choice either way, but I’ve always been an angry, hard-headed person.
