my first seminar for this semester today - trying to think of it as a kind of luxurious exposure therapy treatment

The amount of fanfic I have read and personal thoughts I have about their life after the war makes me forget that there is no cannon between the end of mockingjay and the epilogue. Its all made up. But I swear if anyone even thinks about putting them through anymore unnecessary pain. I will come for you. They deserve a lifetime of happiness, all of them.
what do you mean everyone goes back to their separate districts and deals with the trauma of the war on their own? did you miss the part where johanna and annie move in together to raise her and finnick's kid next door to katniss and peeta? or haymitch and effie getting married and taking katniss and peeta in because they're literally 17? everlark's kids calling them grandma and grandpa?? are y'all sure you're reading this right??? are we reading the same book????

Here's another favorite dress I love from Alexander McQueen's incredible fashion archive. After the tragic death of McQueen, his loyal right-hand woman, Sarah Burton, was appointed as the new creative director for her mentor's label and debuted her first collection during Spring/Summer 2011 in Paris Fashion Week to rave reviews from fashion journalists, infusing a newfound sense of lightness and femininity to the clothes while still being respectful to the core DNA of McQueen's avant-garde aesthetics. With the collection inspired largely by nature--a consistent reference point for majority of McQueen's past works--this stunning dress is rendered in an eye-catching monarch butterfly print, complete with a 3D neckpiece detail that makes it seem like the model is surrounded by these beautifully docile insects.

Right. I didn't expect the post I made featuring the new Mockingjay posters to garner a lot of notes considering many others also posted it around the same time as I did, but I'm rather pleased all the same. That being said, I'm gonna do something crazy in response. So basically, if the said post of the Capitol propaganda posters reaches more than 100,000 notes BEFORE the release of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 01" this November, then I'm going to dress up as Effie Trinket when I'm going to see the film in theaters and post the photos here on Tumblr. I'm pretty serious about this, y'all, given that I've only dressed up in character ONCE in my life to see a movie I really wanted to watch, and that was "Snowpiercer" back in January 2014 where I dressed up as a Tail Sectioner all train hobo and shit. So I dare y'all to like and reblog the shit out of that Mockingjay post I made to reach the goal target so I can basically make a fool of myself in public dressed as Effie Trinket. :) Cheers, everyone! So I made good on my promise to dress up as my favorite character from "The Hunger Games" for Halloween this year. Obviously, her normal over-the-top Capitol looks featured in the first and second films wasn't going to be possible given my budget, which is why I was so glad that Effie Trinket had a minimalist appearance for "Mockingjay". With a few minor changes, I was glad to have pulled it off. Really glad I went for this one, and I look forward to my costume for next year's Halloween!
