okay the idea of finnick not knowing heās gonna be a father is sad but him knowing is even sadder. imagine him trying so hard to get back because he knows it isnāt just Annie waiting for him. imagine him promising Annie heāll come back for both of them. imagine Finnick being so excited to be a father, only to never meet his child in this lifetime.
saw a fanfic where finnick and annie divorce. physically not okay.
thinking about how annie mightāve mentored finnick and mags for the quell
me trying to fight the urge to abandon my old fanfic and start another one
I love the idea that Finnick was Annieās mentor, but it just seems so cliche to me, like the whole āstronger, more experienced yet closer off mentor falls in love with weak, doesnāt-have-a-chance-at-survival mentee and does everything he can to save herā is just old and boring. I prefer the headcannon that it was Mags who mentored Annie, instantly took a liking to her, trained her good and everything, and after Annie was crowned victor, she began to spend more and more time with Mags. Now that is where Finnick comes in. I think, when he was a younger victor, after his family died, he moved in with Mags and stayed there for a while, so when Annie begun to come over more and more, thatās when he took notice to her. And Mags, (we love her for this), saw something between them immediately. She played match-maker, and boom, theyāre dating. I also feel like the tribute/mentor thing doesnāt really add up, as Finnick said that Annie ācrept up on himā, which meant it would take time, but mentors only have their tributes for about a week. Still, he couldāve fallen for her afterwards, but I donāt think it makes much sense to me. Adding on, Iāve seen lots of head cannons that Annie trained and volunteered, which I also love, but I like keeping Annie as the feminine, soft character. That doesnāt make her weak, per say, it means sheās a gentle soul. Yes, I think she killed in the arena, and she did what she had to do to survive, but donāt diminish her purity !! She didnāt play into the Capitolās games, acting like she was perfectly fine and unaffected, which, in my opinion, is what makes her pure and sets her apart from the other victors. But hey, itās just a theory, a Hunger Games theory !!
