It was surprisingly simple to regain the easy companionship between them. The trust just came easily, as if it were ingrained deep within the both of them. And Insight was glad that the two of them could rely on one another. 

There weren’t many that Insight could depend on, especially since Hydra wasn’t an organization known for its reliable and trustworthy members. Backstabbing and betrayal was commonplace in the never ending pursuit of power. And agents of any level were willing to put Insight—a mere tool—in danger for their own personal gain.

But not the Asset. He’d yet to betray Insight, and Insight certainly appreciated that.

You walked around in the room humming a song, holding onto two dresses still trying to make up your mind. It was such a strange feeling for you, normally you would be sure that your clients would love the way you looked whatever you wore, seeing that everything in your wardrobe was designed and bought for their own pleasure and gaze, but now, since you would be meeting Bucky, you had managed to find a flaw in each and every dress in your wardrobe. You took a look at the mirror to make sure you hair still looked good, then laid the dresses on your bed and tilted your head, putting your hands on your hips.

The last time you had worn a green dress and Bucky had complimented you but you didn’t want him to think that was all you wore after all-

You pursed your lips, narrowing your eyes at the dresses as if they personally offended you but someone cleared their throat from the door, making you startle and turn your head.

“Hey Shirl.”

“Hey there,” she smiled slightly, looked around and stepped inside, then closed the door behind her, “You have a date?”

“Shh,” you said, “Which one of these look better on me?”

“It depends,” she clicked her tongue, “Do you want him to faint or get on his knees when he sees you?”

“Faint.”

“The red one.”
