12 Laws of the Universe:

1. law of divine oneness. everything is connected. everything in the universe is an extension of source energy, which means that on a spiritual level, nothing is separate.

2. law of vibration. everything is made of energy, and energy vibrates at a specific frequency.

3. law of correspondence. your external reality is a direct reflection of your internal state. this law can help you assess the alignment of your vibration.

4. law of attraction. your energy is constantly attracting its vibrational match.

5. law of inspired action. inspiration will come once you are aligned with who you are- an extension of source.

6. law of perpetual transmutation of energy. energy is constantly evolving and fluctuating.

7. law of cause and effect. where your focus goes energy flows. our thoughts is the cause, and our experiences are the effect.

8. law of compensation. you get what you give, you reap what you sow. what you withhold from others will be withheld from you.

9. law of relativity. everything is relative because we all perceive reality in our own way.

10. law of polarity. everything has an opposite. or every problem, there’s a solution. for every right, there’s a left.

11. law of rhythm. like the four seasons, everything in life has a cycle.

12. law of gender. when both your masculine and feminine energies are in alignment.

this was my exact response! (i posted a review here on my original account before i accidentally took the blog down, hello to my past mutuals)

definitely felt like i was being told a story by an unreliable narrator the whole time, like grandpa joe to charlie for comparison, something about the new wonka movie seemed unreal to me, like im being lied to and given a false sense of idea about what kind of man wonka is instead of the actual character underneath all that cheery and rainbow colored facade

i dont know about everyone else, but if paul king decides to deviate from the usual family friendly genre and experiment a little which i highly doubt, a new gritty sequel could do it justice, a dark twist in contrast to what the first film entailed, that wonka tricked the audience into thinking he's good, fabricating a made-up tale around this so called "backstory" and instead, the real reason of how he gained this mega corporation in the first place is by exploiting a bunch of people and manipulating the masses to slowly expand his business and empire built by the back of indigineous slaves.

now, that would be really entertaining to watch, especially if its all in the perspective of young charlie bucket or a detective investigating the mysterious murder case of five golden ticket winners

no don't get me wrong i loved the movie, it was cute, but chaletmet's wonka felt like propaganda straight from william wonka himself

like considering the source material, and the johnny depp wonka's initial backstory of making candy out of pure spite, chaletmet's wonka is so exaggeratedly innnocent and charming it's honestly polarizing, like. there's a scene of this man flying around with balloons and setting flamingos free with his new orphan friend. he runs an honest to goodness off the street startup business as if wonka's factory isn't a HUGE fucking operation with surely as many lawsuits as freddy fazbear's pizza. he even comes with a sweet dead mother, and his new motivation to become a chocolate maker as of this movie is to bring her back, as if this isn't supposedly the same character who goes on to merk four children with intricate rooms specifically designed to appeal to them. like i feel this movie is gaslighting me.
