Freddie: He Appreciates Her Down-to-earth Nature And Her Practicality. Naturally, He Thinks He's Better
Freddie: He appreciates her down-to-earth nature and her practicality. Naturally, he thinks he's better than her, but that's consistent among all people at first. He's intimidated by her bravery and hardiness since he's lived a very sheltered life, but he would never admit that. Once he finally bonds with her, she'd be like a rock for him, someone to centre himself with, someone to protect him, someone who supports him. I just love The Perfect Family so much
Zach: He admires her strength - she always pushes herself to be better; even if at one point it was mostly for survival, she kept going, which is something he strives to do. Honestly, he'd love to spar with her, and learn more tricks on self-defense. Neither of them stand by and let bullying/harassing of those that can't defend themselves, which is something they can bond over. The only thing they don't have in common is their view of street authority since Zach wants to follow his father into some sort of law enforcement.
Bella: Since the main way she sees the world is through understanding, she struggles with Aster. They have completely different backgrounds, strengths, and ways of dealing with hardship. She does agree with her over opportunity - you need to work for something, to earn it, not just buy your way into prosperity. She's a little uneasy with Aster's confidence and slight aggressiveness - though they might agree on their view of some things, Bella would rather take a more passive route of judgment or action and would silently question the potentially more aggressive/defensive stance Aster would take.
day two: aster

this is aster! after her parents perished in a tragic accident, she grew up in various foster homes and a corrupt orphanage. she leaves that all behind as soon as possible and lives on the streets until boarding school. aster has fought for everything in her life and doesn’t like to depend on others. she hates when people are handed life on a silver platter, causing her to hate violetta at first. but, after a while, she realizes that violetta is trying, and they eventually form a friendship (and,, maybe something more)
nicknames: ast (mostly by juni), darling (by violetta), beautiful (by dawn)
power: fire
ethnicity: no record of who her parents were
birthday: october 28
sexuality: lesbian

Ryan Reese

Element: Earth
Weapon: Battle axe (Kay named it Penelope)
Personality: Protective, gentle giant of the team who constantly worries about the health of others way more than himself. Wicked smart when it comes to hardware and is a huge car and sports nerd.
Backstory: given up for adoption at six months and taken in by two humans. Grew up in the suburbs of Philly with Nate. They went to the same school and everything. Didn’t learn he was paragon until he met his parents at the age of seventeen. Made his eighteenth birthday a bit of a shock, but he adjusted better than most.
Nickname(s): RJ (childhood), Reese (everyone), Ry-Ry (Nate's little sister when she was really smol. If anyone else called him that he'd break their arm), Big Lug (given to him by Kay)

I have the same issue with procrastination, don't worry.
And I will hype your stuff plenty! I love the concept of your universe, with weapons and magic and stuff. I struggle with motivation too, so I love to help where I can
I'd kinda like to see 17, 18 and 19 please!
I'm sorry this took me a whole day to answer! I promise I did not forget you and I super appreciate the ask, I just procrastinated a lot 😓 but I truly appreciate the interest, thank you!!!!
17. Do you think readers perceive your work - or you - differently to you? What do you think would surprise your readers about your writing or your motivation?
I mean… I assume? They have to, right? No one knows just from reading why or how or where an idea came from. I guess something that might surprise people is that I’ve been working on this story for four years and up until this point I’ve been pretty self-motivated (which as of late has been failing me haha) so being more active here is my way of getting myself hype to share and write this story again!
18. Do any of your stories have alternative versions?
YES, A TON. It took me FOREVER to figure out how I wanted the “underground war between Paladins and Knaves” (the main difference between them is ideology and methods of creating change) to work. For a while, they were each going to have strict almost government-like structures and there were going to be only four factions that you could be a part of. However, now, the Knaves have a more rigid structure, whereas the Paladins have a more fluid structure. And a faction is just a small group of paragon that work (and usually live) together and there are thousands of them. It’s changed in a lot of other ways but I don’t wanna ramble too much haha.
19. Is there something you always find yourself repeating in your writing?
Ok, so on a large scale, I use the found family trope in every thing I’ve ever written and that is not changing anytime soon. On a more micro level (like sentence structure or descriptions and such) I think my default is to describe that a character is smiling. Sometimes it’s like a sad or weak smile, sometimes it’s a genuinely happy one, but at some point in all of my WIPs someone is smiling lmao.
