Welcome to the cavern of chaos, the arena of angst, the field of fluff, the dumping ground of dreadful and delightful writing that I call home here on this site. I am your guide to my lovable characters and confusing lore, Eve, an incredibly dysfunctional human bean. Don't expect consistency, because there's no way my ADHD would allow it.

I am the main story I'm currently writing is titled A New Infection. Here is the intro! It features sort of zombies, three (3) main characters ranging in age from 9-16, who bond into a found family through shared experiences of trauma, angst, and love. No one central is straight, but even so, many side characters mentioned in canon and AUs are some flavour of gay.

Fortunately, my partner in crime, @pagesofcursive , or Briar, is also active on here. Her writing is incredible, and we have collaborated a lot, and you can find all of that at @eve-and-briar!!!

Hearing her thump up three more steps in rapid succession, Freddie let out a shriek before hurtling up the stairs, almost on all fours, and skittered down the hall. Bella smirked and nudged the darkly dressed girl beside her, “Kids, am I right.”

Aster nodded, her small smile mirroring Bella’s self-satisfied smirk. Catching her eyes, Bella watched a fond light come into them. Strange.

Warmth rose to her cheeks, and Vivian leaned back into their arms. “Is that so?”

“Well, nothing ever compares to you.”

“You remind me of the sunset,” she said, each word marked by her gentle accent, “with all your warmth and color and… just everything about you.” Vivian hummed softly, leaning up to kiss their cheek. “And, god, you’re stunning.”

“Does that make you the moon?” River asked, almost teasingly but not quite.

The problem with being a writer is that you have to be your characters.

You can’t write a charming character by saying they’re charming, you actually need to be charming and write them charming dialog. You can’t just state somebody is smart, you need to write smart things for them to say and do.
