Extreme example with Kate Wallis from Cruel Summer, who isn't even an example of a victim who is capable of victimizing others. Like the whole season was about how she is the victim, and I still saw people be like "okay sure she experienced [everything] but she's being pretty pissy and bitter"

Allison McRoberts and Alicia Florrick are both women who are accused of having a "victim complex" in universe and out and while both are technically true assessments (and explored in the writing), neither are caused by an echo-chamber of support, but because their entire worlds' seem to gaslight them into believing they aren't victims.

Frankly I'm a little sus about how quickly people want to jump from acknowledging victimhood to "okay that's enough being a victim for you now you're just showing off"
