I Made A Couple Of These For Anthro New England, As A Play On This Year's Con Theme Of The Nineties.

I made a couple of these for Anthro New England, as a play on this year's con theme of The Nineties. 

It took more effort to get the idea to work than I'd expected, but I was really happy with the result.

(For the curious: the bracelets have to be 2-layered to sandwich the metal spring core inside. It turned out the only way to make it sturdy enough was to hand-stitch it together. And since the layers have thickness to them, the inner one has to be slightly shorter than the outer one, with the stitching holes slightly compressed accordingly. That way, the natural relaxed shape of the bracelet once it's sewn together is curled up with an appropriate diameter.)

(The Jazz design isn't on my Etsy because the last thing I made with that pattern got a takedown notice from the cup company. But if you poke me individually I can make you one.)

Rainbow chainmail bracelets! A pair of stretchy ring bracelets, and a pair of scale maille ones in rainbow and nonbinary pride flag colors.

Spiked Leather Cuff Bracelets! I made these as a take-home order from ANE. It's the same basic pattern as I'd worked out for the slap bracelets, with a stiffer top layer hand-sewn to a suede liner, but with a snap closure.

The invisible detail that makes these work nicely is, I cut the liner slightly shorter than the top, so when it's sewn together it curls into shape without any weird bunching. Compressing the stitching holes' spacing appropriately is really only possible with the laser cutter.

Choke chain collar! Go on. Give it a tug. Remind your pet who's in charge.

I wanted a collar suitable for long-term wear, but I don’t like the aesthetic of having a lock hanging on your neck. This was my solution! The chain slides real nice when you pull on it, and it doesn’t raise too many eyebrows out in the real world.

One of the O-rings opens with set screws for semi-permanent wear; or it can be made with a spring-opening carabiner for quick access. I’ve worn one of these 24/7 for about 3 years now, to make sure that it was safe before I offered it for sale.
