Could you tag for the misogynistic slur in your latest art post?
‘Queer’ used to only be known as an offensive slur, until it was reclaimed by the LGBT+ community - BUT not all members of the community were happy about it and many still have mixed feelings. They are completely valid to feel that way as they likely have trauma from hearing the word used in a very hateful and derogatory manner.
Absolute same goes for ‘cunt’! In the past I personally used to be very offended by this word, but today I use it almost daily (helps that I’m Australian lol).
You’re 100% entitled to your opinion of it only being a misogynistic slur. Completely valid! However you can’t expect everyone to protect you from hearing/seeing the word.
I know you had good intentions in your request, but we can’t protect everyone from being uncomfortable. Being offended and uncomfortable is a part of life at times. We are all so different!
