All Panels: Wukong snuggles into Macaque's neck, wrapping him in a back embrace. Macaque, after shaking off the initial surprise, turns his face to the King and says, "Uh—Wukong? You do know I won’t be able to unlock the door in time now, right?" Wukong, unbothered, mumbles a soft "Don’t care," without shifting from his position, pressed against Mac's side.

Top Panel: LBD watches the two monkeys through a magical transmission, her expression outraged. "What are these simians doing!?" she exclaims, clearly displeased.

Bottom Panel: The Mayor appears behind her, smiling as usual, and calmly replies, "I believe it's called physical affection, my lady. Commonly referred to as... cuddles." Lady Bone Demon stares at him in complete deadpan silence, unimpressed.

Top Panel: Back with Wukong and Macaque, Wukong looks down, a sad expression crossing his face. "If getting through that door means you have to suffer, then I'll find a better way later," he says, his voice quiet.

Middle Panel: The focus shifts to Macaque, who responds, a small smile adorning his features, "Well, I wouldn’t exactly call it suffering... but yeah, I probably should've seen this reaction coming."

Bottom Panel: Macaque opens a shadow portal beneath them, before saying "...Let's call it a day then. Not like we’re finishing this mission now, anyway."

i love the possesed macaque and wukong series honestly. i love how they fuck up LBD's plans just by being in love. What do the two think of mk? Will there be any potential mk interaction with the two in the future?

Top Left Panel: Macaque hurries through the halls, his thoughts trailing off with, “Where else could he b—”

Right Panel: He abruptly halts at the doorframe, spotting Wukong gazing out of the window. “Oh, there you are,” he exclaims.

Macaque strides closer to Wukong, declaring, “I’ve been searching for you everywhere! For a moment, I thought—”

He’s cut off, startled slightly as Wukong murmurs, “Do you think he’ll understand?”

Now just behind Wukong, Macaque asks, “Who…?”, a serious expression on his face.

Wukong stares out at the desolate wasteland, filled with icy spikes and ruined land. “The kid... What if, even after we lay it all out for him—his destiny and everything—he still doesn’t get that we’re the good guys?”

Turning to face Macaque, his eyes glisten with tears, and his voice trembles as he asks, “What if her grace decides he’s not worth convincing?”

First of all, tysm for the kind words, lyfsanity! I'm happy you are enjoying this little AU of mine! :D Oh and I do plan on having some interactions between the two and MK! Secondly, sorry for the late reply but I really wanted to respond with some art!

On a side note, I’ve decided to switch up the format and layout of this AU for a fresh look, drawing a lot of inspiration from kyri45's and kiaonala's comics—both of which are absolutely worth checking out for their incredible art and story!! I also wanted to solve the issue of distinguishing our favorite old man yaoi duo at a glance, so now Mac has black hair and both have eyeliner to make 'em stand out! :]
