Top Panel: Macaque, holding the present from Wukong in front of him, looks genuinely surprised, saying, "For me?"

Bottom panel: Wukong, rubbing the back of his head with one hand, replies, "I figured with the cold season rolling in..."

Top Panel: Wukong continues, "You might need warmer threads." The opened present reveals a cozy sweater with the imprint "I come to bring Destiny."

Bottom left Panel: Macaque holds the sweater, smiling warmly, "Oh, that's definitely going to make those chilly nights more bearable."

Text between panels reads: "One minute later."

Bottom right Panel: Macaque is now wearing the sweater, beaming with joy, clearly loving it. He turns to Wukong, “Thank you, Wukong!”

Top Panel: Macaque stands at the doorway with a dreamy smile, thanking his King before taking his leave.

Bottom Panels: Wukong waves goodnight in return, offering a casual smile towards Mihou. As soon as Liuer closes the door, Wukong drops his glamour.

One Panel: Wukong, now wearing a comfortable sweater instead of his armor, stands smugly smiling. The sweater has the imprint, "I am 'bring Destiny.'" (For those with screenreaders: the imprint says "I am" followed by quotation marks "bring Destiny", quotations marks end).
With Macaque's hoodie, it forms a dirty joke, although Macaque doesn't know that--

Explanation: It's inspired by the couples' shirts where one shirt spells "I come in peace" and the other one "I am 'peace'"

i love the possesed macaque and wukong series honestly. i love how they fuck up LBD's plans just by being in love. What do the two think of mk? Will there be any potential mk interaction with the two in the future?

Top Left Panel: Macaque hurries through the halls, his thoughts trailing off with, “Where else could he b—”

Right Panel: He abruptly halts at the doorframe, spotting Wukong gazing out of the window. “Oh, there you are,” he exclaims.

Macaque strides closer to Wukong, declaring, “I’ve been searching for you everywhere! For a moment, I thought—”

He’s cut off, startled slightly as Wukong murmurs, “Do you think he’ll understand?”

Now just behind Wukong, Macaque asks, “Who…?”, a serious expression on his face.

Wukong stares out at the desolate wasteland, filled with icy spikes and ruined land. “The kid... What if, even after we lay it all out for him—his destiny and everything—he still doesn’t get that we’re the good guys?”

Turning to face Macaque, his eyes glisten with tears, and his voice trembles as he asks, “What if her grace decides he’s not worth convincing?”

First of all, tysm for the kind words, lyfsanity! I'm happy you are enjoying this little AU of mine! :D Oh and I do plan on having some interactions between the two and MK! Secondly, sorry for the late reply but I really wanted to respond with some art!

On a side note, I’ve decided to switch up the format and layout of this AU for a fresh look, drawing a lot of inspiration from kyri45's and kiaonala's comics—both of which are absolutely worth checking out for their incredible art and story!! I also wanted to solve the issue of distinguishing our favorite old man yaoi duo at a glance, so now Mac has black hair and both have eyeliner to make 'em stand out! :]

Top Panels: Macaque turns his head slightly, flashing a smirk as he reassures, "I'm fine. It's just the protection spell of this place trying to dissuade me from lockpicking the door, but I can withstand a little cold."

Bottom Panel: Wukong, still eyeing Macaque with concern, replies, "If you say so," before shifting his focus back to scanning the area for any approaching threats.

Top-left Panel: Minute 1: Wukong stands rigid, clearly uncomfortable, as he tries to remain patient while Macaque works on the lock.

Top-right Panel: Minute 2: Wukong is now visibly anxious, glancing repeatedly at Macaque, who's starting to shiver, heightening Wukong's worry.

Bottom-left Panel: Minute 2.5: Wukong grows impatient, his tail twitching as Macaque struggles against the cold. Liu’er can be heard grumbling in the distance, while Wukong’s attention wavers, making it harder for him to focus on his task.

Bottom-right Panel: Macaque flinches in surprise as Wukong suddenly yells, "OKAY, THAT'S IT!"

Left Panel: Macaque turns with a startled expression, unsure what's happening behind him.

Right Panel: Mihou begins saying Wukong's name, only to be cut off as he gets grabbed by the arms, consequently getting yanked away from the magical circle. The lockpicking sigil flickers and fades as he moves.
